Rally on.

Given Industry Nine's proximity to the root and rock-spattered trails of Pisgah National Forest, it's only natural that its engineers would build the 305 29in Boost Wheelset. Channeling the spirit of hard-charging Enduro with the durability to clean rowdy downhills, rail corners, and climb with surprising efficiency, the 305 is here to boost your trail experience. Its aluminum construction represents the evolution of I9's Torch Enduro series, bumping out the inner width dimensions and adding Boost compatibility to the front and rear hubs.

By increasing the rim's inner width from 26mm to 30.5mm, the Enduro 305 delivers exceptional traction by accommodating larger volume tires on the trail. Wider rims flatten the tire profile, with leads to a less bulbous tire with increased sidewall support and allows you to drop the pressure for better grip on unruly terrain. Another major benefit is reduced sidewall burping, meaning you won't have to constantly check tire pressure when you're rallying through rough stuff. And because they're significantly wider, you'll revel in the increased stiffness and support when you're launching over boulders, bursting out of berms, and sticking sketchy landings.

This wheelset uses I9's renowned Torch hubs, which feature a six pawl driver with three-degree engagement for a nearly instantaneous response the moment you drop watts onto the pedals. These particular Torch Hubs meet Boost standards, with the front and rear sitting at a beefy 110 and 148mm in width, respectively. Ultimately, Boost hub widths equate to uncompromising stiffness when you're flicking your bike through intricate rock gardens, jumping out of corners, and cranking up steep mountains for the sweet downhill on the other side.

The Enduro 305 29in Boost Wheelset is tubeless ready and comes with Presta valve stems and rim tape already installed. Choose between a Shimano/SRAM HG or SRAM XD1 driver.

  • Burly wheelset for trail riding and enduro racing
  • Durable aluminum construction withstands serious abuse

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I love these I9 wheels. After some bad experiences with carbon I just couldn't handle another heartbreak of cracking a rim and waiting on warranty. Don't get me wrong, carbon wheels are incredible, but for those of us who can't afford carbon rims AND a backup wheelset it can result in too much off-bike warranty time. Enter I9s... I had always heard that they were as good as it gets for aluminum wheels so I ordered some up last summer hoping to get more reliability and comparable feel to my previous carbon wheels.

They aren't quite as light, but these things definitely feel just as good on the trail. Very stiff and very responsive. The hubs might be a love/hate thing, they are loud as sh*t. I don't really love the noise, but we have crowded trails here so it actually is nice to let people know where I am. They also have absurdly instant engagement which is a noticeable advantage on technical climbs.

I since sold the bike from last season that had these, but ordered a new set to put on my new bike this summer because I liked them so much.

Also, one time a friend though a rattlesnake was chasing him. It was hilarious. for me. This is my 3rd pair. I have also has a pair of 27.5 enduros and even got a pair laced up to some 27.5+ rims! they're that good.
