AR25 TRA Wheelset

Outfit your all-road bike with some hoops that can handle anything from 25mm road slicks to 40mm+ gravel rubber and everything in between with Industry Nine's all-new AR25 TRA Wheelset. It finally gives riders running 700c wheels something that they've wanted for a long time: a road going wheelset with I9's signature alloy spokes. TRA is short for Torch Road Alloy and with this new platform, I9 is able to offer the strength, weight savings, and stiffness afforded by its aluminum spokes, which is something we've come to love about its mountain wheels, to the drop bar set.

Cruise along chipseal roads, pedal up endless forest service roads, and hop the barriers this fall all on one wheelset. The optimized 21.5mm internal rim width provides a stable platform for road and knobby tires alike allowing the tire to take a rounder more natural shape for better handling, rather than shoehorning wider rubber on traditional narrow road rims. Add in its tubeless ability, allowing for lower tires pressures for a plusher ride and more traction and you have a versatile set of wheels ready for any adventure.

The lightweight aluminum construction at both the rim and spokes provides plenty of durability on mixed surfaces while achieving weight and stiffness levels that match those of pricier carbon wheelsets. In fact, you could practically purchase 2 sets of these wheels for the price of some carbon offerings. All of I9's road disc wheels feature a unique 2:1 lacing on both the front and rear wheels that helps even out the spoke tension between both sides and allows for a lower spoke count of just 24 spokes on each wheel for less weight without sacrificing strength or durability. Another feature we're quite fond of on this wheelset is Industry Nine's Torch hubs offering a super-fast 6-degree engagement for quickly getting back on the gas and the responsiveness that highly appreciated during races and spirited rides. This wheelset is available in both HG freehubs for Shimano/SRAM or XD driver for SRAM drivetrains with thru-axle combinations of 12 x 100mm front/12 x 142mm rear or 15 x 100mm front/12 x 142mm rear. It comes tubeless-ready, with pre-installed rim tape and Presta valves.

Not as pictured. They look even better!

These are a christmas gift to myself. I am yet to put them on my Parlee, but I can report that they look even better than pictured! They will replace a Syntace road disc wheelset that I am using right now. They are totally murdered out. Black On Black with a mixture of what looks like Satin (rim) and Gloss Black anodized (hubs & spokes) finishes. The hubs and spokes are then laser etched with the Industry Nine name and the hub of course also includes the logo. They do feel pretty light and spin freely. They came with two spare spokes in the box as well. Buy American when you can folk's. Lets keep each other employed.
