Why We Like The Mojo HD5 SLX Mountain Bike

Ibis released the first Mojo HD back in 2010. When we took it out on the trails, we were blown away by how well it handled virtually any terrain. Over the course of a decade and numerous revisions, the bike has earned a reputation as an efficient climber, a confident descender, and a bike that's just very enjoyable to ride. With the release of the new Mojo HD5, Ibis retains those favorable characteristics while at the same time cranking up the bike's descending capability. Drawing inspiration from their Enduro World Series pro team, the HD5 is built to tackle trails just as challenging as those found on the elite global circuit—all without sacrificing the lively handling that makes it a joy to ride on tamer trails, too.

  • The Mojo HD enduro bike in its most capable form to date
  • Updated frame boosts stiffness without increasing weight
  • 6.7in front, 6in rear travel lets you charge harder than before
  • Longer, slacker geometry improves stability and confidence
  • Steep seat tube is more comfortable on the climbs
  • DW-Link suspension provides best in class pedaling efficiency
  • Traction Tune provides a smooth, supple suspension feel
  • Equipped with Shimano SLX 12-speed for crisp, responsive shifting

Great bike! Great customer service!

I purchased this bike a few months ago and have ridden it quite a bit since. It has been a very dependable ride that performs quite well in most any circumstance. I feel that the build quality is great, as it should be for any bike of this caliber. The geometry on this bike feels amazing and handles confidently through most any feature you may encounter. At 5' 9" in height, the medium frame fits me perfectly. I tend to like my frames on the smaller side so the 27.5" diameter wheels are perfect for me. I tend to buzz my bottom a little less on this ride than on my 29er. The only complaint I really have is that ibis advertised these bike as having a different dropper post than what was actually shipped... not too happy about that but the guys at Competitive cycling stepped up to the plate, and took care of me. I especially liked that I had dedicated "gear heads" Jonathan and Ryan that I could contact if I had any issue and tylored the setup to my height and weight. Not too many companies out there bring this level of customer service to the table. If you are on the fence about who to purchase your next ride from, I highly recommend competitive cyclist.
