Lube it and forget about it

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

This is the best chain lube I've used. It was surprisingly thick for a water-based lube and was easy to apply. My shifting was instantly smoother and my drivetrain remained silent for miles. I really like that this lube is eco-friendly and water-based so I don't have to worry about it dripping on my grass or destroying the environment I love so much. I've tried many lubes over the years and most are hard to tell any real difference between performance, but I was instantly sold on this lube. it was quiet and lasted multiple rides.

Put Your Chain in Stealth Mode

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I never thought i would find a lube that would make me stop using Rock n’ Roll Gold, but the past month of using this stuff has proven me wrong. Immediately after switching my chain was noticeably quieter. Like, the quietest my chain has been. Ever. If it weren't for the great scent wafting from your bike chain, no one would ever know you were coming. It is crazy how good this smells. Fair warning, it will make you want to eat popcorn with bike grease all over your fingers. While it’s not the main reason i would buy this stuff it certainly doesn’t hurt. With how hard replacement bike parts are to find this year, it is more important than ever to keep things in tip top shape. Finding lube that works in dry and dusty conditions like utah can be tough but this stuff is amazing. After dusty rides the chain stayed shiny clean and quiet.

Probably the best lube I've used

You're not a real cyclist until you have a favorite lube. This stuff dethroned mine. "Jack of all trades, master of none" is an overused cliche, and I'm happy to report that it doesn't apply to Chain Butter. I'm comfortable saying "Master of all trades." This stuff really is the Assos/SRM/Pinarello of the lube world. It's the fastest, cleanest, easiest lube I've ever had the pleasure to use, and it's probably going to be my go-to moving forward. It's a touch more expensive than some other options, but the extra five or six bucks is worth it, and given the fact that this stuff lasts two or three times as long per application (even in heavy dust), it's honestly pretty economical.

Hot, Dusty, Silent But Deadly, EASY!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I've ridden with chain butter for a couple of years now, so I was stoked when we picked it up. Utah has some of the harshest conditions for our trails in the summertime. It is always really warm, and Moondust kicks up like no other in the first mile of your ride. Chain butter is water-based, I will usually apply the lube the night before and let it sit for best results, but you can pull right up to the trailhead and apply minutes before riding and get very good results. The lube lasts a long time and will strip your chain of grime with minimal effort, and with some Hardcore Chain & Gear Cleaner, your drivetrain will be easier to maintain than ever before. I usually can get 2-3 rides, ~20-30 miles each ride, before needing to re-apply. Key Word "Needing" I've gone a greater distance in terrible conditions without the need for reapplication. However, Drivetrain maintenance can increase the life of your components. So quick refresh between rides is never a bad idea. I usually will strip my chain whenever I do a complete wash of the bike typically once a week (conditions permitting). and do re-applications during the week of lube. The same thing goes for the road and gravel bike, only you usually go further before needing to re-apply. Get some for yourself and try it.

The lube we needed but didn't deserve

So after a thorough cleaning of my bike with the bike hardcore products, I was stoked to try this chain lube out. I'm currently running it on both my gravel bike and my road bike and the results have been astounding. I've tried a lot of chain lubes in the last while and found that for the dusty desert we live in here in Utah, I always end up needing to reapply chain lube every couple of rides for road or every 10 miles on the gravel. When I go to apply them, I always find that my chain is disgusting and then I end up just piling on more lube on top of filth. Not so with chain butter! Comparatively, my chain stays pretty clean in between applications and the chain butter has my drivetrains running SILENT compared to other brands. For road, I went well over 150 miles before re-applying my lube, but likely could have done another 150 before really needing to. If you're in need of a dry lube... this one is for you. Just be aware. You might not ever want another one if you do!
