For a weatherproof cycling cap, it doesn't much lighter than the C5 Gore-Tex Shakedry Cap. Stash one away in your jersey pocket or a saddle bag in case Mother Nature decides to open the skies and drench you halfway through the ride. Of course, you can don the cap right from the start if you anticipate cold winds or rain, at a mere 22g you might barely notice it's there. The cap fits nicely under your helmet, using an elastic back to provide a secure and universal fit.
The Gore-Tex Shakedry material is both waterproof and windproof, keeping your head warm and dry in variable poor weather. Should you start to heat up during a tough climb, Shakedry is also breathable, letting that warm air escape so you don't overheat. As alluded to above, Shakedry is the lightest version of Gore-Tex, consisting only of a membrane bound to a nylon shell, foregoing the outer fabric that tends get saturated and "wet out" in heavier rain anyway.

Really tight
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
looks like a nice cap, but it was way too tight for me. If you wear a 7 1/4 hat size, it would probably work, but still tight. 7 1/8 or less would be comfortable.

Great Cap

I have used this cap now on several rides and am very impressed. On both cold sunny and dry as well cloudy and windy days and this cap does an excellent job at blocking the wind so you dont get cold and it wicks extremely well. I am pretty sweaty and after the rides my hair was not soaked nor was the inside of the cap. I have only worn it in a little mist but fully expect it to keep me dry in rain based on my experience with Gore. The thing that blew me away was the wicking in dry, cold and windy conditions. One thing to know is that it does fit tight. I have a head on the smaller side and it is snug. It does have alot of strectch though and bcause of the fit it works very well under my helmet. Great purchase..
