Windstopper Thermo Beanie

For chilly commutes and cold-weather training rides, the Gore Wear Windstopper Thermo Beanie protects your head and ears from losing valuable body heat as you ride. A Gore Windstopper membrane prevents wind from stealing your heat without trapping in moisture as you work up a sweat. The synthetic fabric wicks away perspiration, dries quickly, and stretches to maximize comfort throughout long days in the saddle. Gore even added slits above the ears so you can comfortably, and more importantly securely wear your glasses or sunglasses to keep your vision clear.

Love this beanie!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

This is the second one I’ve bought. I love the slits for inserting the arms of your sunglasses, as it very much minimizes the wind noise as well as wind “leakage” that occurs if you slide the arms underneath a regular beanie. I’m very sensitive to the wind noise especially, so this really helps me on winter rides.

Perfect for winter rides

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
Size Bought:

Perfect snug fit covering ears and forehead leaving almost no exposed skin when wearing glasses. Keeps my head warm on winter rides and commutes down to 20s. Love the holes for glasses.

Excellent item!

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

Got this for my son who lives in a cold climate and bikes to work. He loved it but the Large was just a bit too loose so need to get a Medium instead. He liked that it was thin and had the slits for glasses or goggles so the beanie could lay flat on his face and not let any wind through.

Kept my beanie warm in the 25-35 degree temps encountered during my 6 hours completing the Shasta Hugger gravel race in March. It’s a little thicker than the regular scull cap that I wear in cool temps. I also like the little slit holes for glasses.

The item works as listed, I used this in temps 20s - 40s and it kept my head warm, and fits nicely under my helmet. The added slots for my riding glasses arms to slide into are an added bonus.

Another great Gore product

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I wore this recently for a 2 hour ride in weather around freezing temps (low to mid 30s F). This kept my head, ears, and forehead warm but still managed to breathe pretty well. This was the first ride where I didn't get a headache from an exposed forehead, and the holes for your glasses were extremely useful. Would recommend.
