Description

Gore C3 Gore Windstopper Classic Thermo Bib Tights+

Windstopper bib tights are a pretty essential piece of kit if you want to stay comfortable while pedaling on cold and windy days, and we've really enjoyed using our Gore C3 Gore Windstopper Classic Thermo Bib Tights+. These bibs are windproof and water-resistant while somehow remaining extremely breathable. Gore is able to achieve these remarkable qualities by utilizing a WindStopper membrane that keeps the wind chill out, thus keeping you warm, while transferring moisture to keep you dry and breathable so you don't overheat on those intervals. Gore even thought of adding slightly pre-shaped knees so you don't lose mobility in the slightly thicker material.

For the chamois, Gore gave these bibs an Active Various insert with Gore Windstopper Cup that helps keep you comfortable on those colder, base building formative rides. Flatlock stitching and seams are used throughout to ensure a proper fit and comfort without irritation or chafing, and reflective logos help keep you visible in the low-light conditions that you'll likely encounter while riding after daylight saving's time has said goodbye.

  • Windstopper winter cycling tights for cold weather
  • Gore Windstopper membrane shields you from frigid winds
  • Form-fitting design keeps warmth close and allows movement
  • Active Various chamois absorbs the blows and adds support
  • Reflective logos keep you visible
  • Flatlocked seams reduce chafing and irritation

Large is large

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: Large

My normal size in shorts and tights is large, but these were too large. These were baggy in the pelvis, a bit loose in the legs and about four inches too long for me. .The chamois also was somewhat oversized. The positives were that they are well made and felt like they would be well suited for rides in the 30s and down into the 20s.

Runs LARGE

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I’m 5’-8” 168lbs and bought my usual medium size. These are way too baggy in the crotch and gather at the ankles like a Shar Pei puppy. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize just how ill fitted they were until 5 miles into my ride. Really bummed because Competitive Cyclist won’t accept exchanges or returns if worn, which is ridiculous. So basically wasted my money. On a positive note, they did keep me warm in the 38 degree weather and they’re made of quality materials. Just order down a size!

Expecting CC to be in the business of washing your sweaty bibs and reselling them is ridiculous. I bought these bibs as well and they run way large so I'm returning them, but I didn't have to ride in them to figure that out.

They are warm

FIRST let me say Competitive Cyclist is great. Shipping was fast and well packaged!!

I ordered a large and they were a bit big in the crouch area...baggy. I was very warm...maybe too warm for the temps..low 40's...But I do put of some heat. Wasn't a big fan of the baggy ankles. These just were too baggy for my liking. I wore them 1 time.
I am 6' 200lbs, 32" waste.

Nice and warm. The only drawback for me is that the chamois is a little thicker than I would choose but that is just me.

The "ticker" fabric is what I liked most. I grew up in a tropical weather and southern California is always cold for me. If it is NOT high summer, I am always cold when riding my road bike
