Description

C5 Thermo Bib Tights+

Hit the trails or road in comfort during the colder months with the C5 Thermo Bib Tights+ from Gore Wear. Featuring an intelligent matrix of fabrics, these insulated bib tights might not have you looking forward to the cold weather, but at least the rides will be a little more bearable. It uses additional insulating materials where you need it, such as at the knees, and reduces it elsewhere to reduce bulk.

Gore chooses a Thermo lining for luxurious warmth and its brushed finish is soft against the skin. The use of flat-lock seams throughout keeps any stitching from irritating your skin and preventing you from getting the most from your ride. Up top, a seam-free, mesh upper sits close to your body beneath the layers and ventilates well so you don't overheat on the climbs. Chamois time will have you in comfort atop the Advanced Road insert with Windstopper Cup technology up front sheltering sensitive bits from arctic blasts. Lastly, reflective logos help you get noticed when there isn't much light present.

  • Supportive bib tights for trail and cross-country riding
  • Insulates to keep you warm on cold days
  • Durable, quick-drying fabric with an optimal degree of stretch
  • Advanced Road chamois provides hours of cycling comfort ver frontside
  • WindStopper Cup alleviates pressure, blocks wind over sensitive bits
  • Mesh bibs offer support and ventilation
  • Reflective print and logos help keep you safe

The materials and construction of this tight is top notch as you should expect from Gore. However the fit is WAY off for me (5'9", 145 lbs.). Medium is way too large. For comparison, I have never been able to fit into any tights from Castelli in size medium (for Castelli--medium tights might fit someone 6' to 6'4" at or less than 140 lbs.) So there is a gapping hole in available tights in someone my size. Yet as these Gore tights have omitted the fairly standard lower leg zippers, I am certain that my size 10 feet will not fit thru the oversized (read flappy in wind) ankle openings that hardly stretch at all (if I were to try a size small). If it had the zippers, it could be snug at the ankle while still being possible to put on and remove (a necessary quality Gore, come on. Does Fabian have little feet? Obviously he has big legs, but are you only producing these for him?) These in size medium might fit someone 6' or taller, 160lbs+ who has little feet and large ankles. Or if you want to spend more money, maybe a seamster (going gender-neutral with this term) could take-in the ankles while adding zippers--just remember to SIZE DOWN vs Italian sizing.
