Gore Bike Wear Universal GWS Overshoe $99.95
Head to toe.
The proliferation of Windstopper across the industry now means that, when temperatures and conditions demand, we can literally wear it from head to toe. Given that it's Gore's fabric, though, no one adapts Windstopper to all-weather cycling better than Gore Bike Wear, and the windproof, water-resistant Universal GWS Overshoes demonstrate this fact to great effect.
The Universal GWS Overshoes' Windstopper membrane shields a built-in layer of Primaloft insulation, so not only do the overshoes protect your feet from the elements, but they've got an additional thermal boundary. This combination of wonder materials recommends them for the wintriest conditions, and the protection doubles-up on the toe, which is the most critically vulnerable area of a foot in motion.
The overshoes zip-on up the heel and feature an elastic ankle cuff to maintain a seal. The open sole design secures via a hook-and-loop strap that accommodates lugged shoes with two-bolt mountain cleats and traditional road shoes. We like our anti-weather gear to fit snugly so as to avoid any compromising gaps, and heel tabs help with the struggle of pulling the covers on over shoes. The Windstopper bodies are trimmed with reflective details help announce your presence to fellow road users during overcast days.

Like a fuzzy blanket for your feet
- Fit: True to size
Unlike most overshoes, these are loose fitting (I think intentionally), so that the insulation can function. They are extremely warm, and are better than thick socks as they don't make your shoes feel tight.
I've worn them at the top of Mt. Hamilton in California, where the temperatures can drop into the 20s, and realized that my feet felt normal, not even slightly cold. Quite amazing
