You've never been so dry in the rain.

Versatility, timeless designs, and the most advanced fabrics available define the new Power collection from Gore Bike Wear. This line of clothing is for the devoted year-round cyclist who prefers minimal styling and maximum functionality. The Gore Bike Wear Power Gore-Tex Active Jacket sits at the top of this line, as it was constructed with Gore's renowned Gore-Tex Active technology in order to keep you dry and comfortable in the harshest of riding conditions.

The Gore Bike Wear Power Gore-Tex Active Jacket employs Gore-Tex's Active Shell fabric for the paneling, which is one of the most breathable in the Gore-Tex lineup. This material keeps you moving freely and sheltered from the worst downpours. The jacket is light and packable, fully-waterproof, and of course, breathable. To an extent, you may have thought that this was impossible for a waterproof hardshell. However, all of the variables are there to make the Power jacket an essential piece for high-intensity wet-weather riding.

The jacket is guaranteed to keep you dry; however, it also breathes exceptionally well, and it allows you to move freely on the bike. Gore Bike Wear describes the fit as "slim," which means that it stays close to the body without being constricting. This manifests in details like the elbows, which are pre-shaped so they don't tug at the underarms when you reach for the handlebars.

Again, Gore Bike Wear took a minimalist approach when designing the Power jacket, so there's only one zippered pocket placed on the lower back panel. Within this pocket, there's a detachable storage bag (or a LOKSAK, as Gore has it) for sealing off your electronic devices from the elements. The cuffs are adjustable, and there's a partially elasticized hem. And because rainy conditions are often low-light conditions, the Power GT AS Jacket has reflective front and back logos.

  • A minimalist jacket with maximum protection
  • 2-layer GoreTex membrane shields from water
  • Active shell moves with you with ease
  • Packable, light, and easy to bring along on any ride
  • Taped seams seal out moisture for guaranteed dryness
  • Breathable membrane allows perspiration to escape

Power Gore-Tex Active Jacket - Neon Yell

Jacket fit perfectly, and was sized accurately. Material is good quality Gore-Tex. My only disappointment and reason for return is that the entire back of the jacket is black as versus the Neon yellow front. This defeats the purpose of high visibility while riding a bike. Fit and feel is one of the best jackets I've tried.

Great rain coat for a slim build.

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small

I am 6’01” 185 with an athletic build. A large fits me perfect. The torso is not too baggy, the arms are a good length while riding and my wide shoulders just fit. It is goretex so it does not breath well but if I wanted that, I would have got the windbreaker version. Other than pouring water on my arms with it on, I have not ridden in the rain with it but it seems to do the job. I first saw this coat being worn by someone in a large group ride through Virginia that I participated in. We rode through steady rain for 5 hours and at one of the breaks the rider told me they were dry (no BS...they were!) so I knew I had to buy it.
