Universal rain protection.

Working up motivation to ride in the rain can sometimes feel a bit like trying to fit a Schrader valve stem through a Presta drilled rim, especially when you've grown accustomed to riding in sunshine all summer and into early fall. The lightweight and versatile Gore Bike Wear Men's Universal GT Thermo Gloves step in during those rainy lulls to get you out the door with confidence that your hands will stay warm and dry throughout the day's route.

Made from lightweight, element-blocking Gore-Tex fabric with a Thermo lining that's as soft as a basket of fluffy puppies, these gloves will keep you cozy and dry in even the most torrential of downpours. Hook-and-loop strap closures at the wrist let you cinch the hem over your jacket cuff to seal out chilly rain drops and errant drafts, ensuring a ride free of damp distractions.

The Universal GT Thermo Gloves include foam padding in the palms to cushion the ride and absorb energy-zapping vibrations, and absorbent material on the thumbs gently mops sweat and raindrops from your face. A synthetic leather palm increases durability and provides a stable grip on the bars, while reflective elements increase visibility to motorists and fellow riders in low-light and rainy conditions.

Definitely fits small

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Posting from an email from a customer who bought the size XXL:

I ended up with the XXL Gore gloves when my size by measurement was large. The xxl's fit perfectly. Probably good information for you to know for the gore gloves. I love Gore equipment but that's a drag if they're fit is that off. Anyway bottom line I'm happy.

Nice riding feel yet runs very small

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is a well made glove with a super grip and feel for grabbing a handlebar. Lightly insulated for chilly summer/caught in higher elevation monsoon rides or for riding in the shoulder seasons. TAKE NOTICE: it runs very small. I'm technically a Med that can run into the Large size with some gloves.... I had to exchange this twice, all the way up to top size of XL, and it is still at the XL size just right with that generally snug fit which a riding glove should have..... and with the finger length being just long enough to have full finger length dexterity without that webbed Aquaman feel some gloves have when the finger lengths are not adequate for the entire glove function.
Cannot Thank BackCountry enough for their policy of returns in order to easily facilitate the back and forth shipping to get the correct sizing.
So, this is a GREAT glove!! BUT in my experience, the sizing of these are the smallest I've ever seen in a glove.

Not windproof, Not warm

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

My fingers got freezing in -2(feels like -8) in less than 15 minutes!

Is that -2 C or F? Needless to say, You'll need something much thicker for -2F.
