Yes, highly functional.

On a long ride, wearing a base layer can prevent uncomfortable chafing and also help you stay dry. We imagine the fewer miles you have to slog through in a completely saturated jersey, the better. The Gore Bike Wear Sleeveless Women's Base Layer provides next-to-skin comfort and excellent moisture management so you can get that much more enjoyment out of your daily escape.

The Sleeveless Women's Base Layer is meant to fit like second skin, and its polypropylene/elastane blend provides exceptional moisture management when worn under bib straps, a jersey, a jacket --whatever. The mechanical push-pull effect of the fabric draws sweat away from your skin to the outer layer, where it can evaporate. Flat-lock seams enable the base layer to glide over your skin. And speaking of seams --there aren't many to be found. Gore Bike Wear made the back extra-long to cover your entire lumbar section, even when you're in an aerodynamic riding position. The Gore Bike Wear Sleeveless Women's Base Layer is tight-fitting and comes in sizes X-Small through XX-Large. It's available in Black or White.

How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Arm Length:
Measure from the center of your back to your wrist with arms held out.
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

I love it!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Extra small

I love this base layer! I wear it on almost every ride. I got it in XS and it fits me perfectly. If you got a skinny waist it's perfect in XS! As a base layer it should be next to the skin and I am super happy with it.

almost perfect...runs small

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I really like the weight of this base layer. It's very light and soft and I think will keep me comfortable and dry when the weather is cool and I want something snug-fitting against my skin. This product is really snug-fitting, however, and though the size chart indicated I would easily fit into an XS, I am exchanging it for a S. I was able to get the XS on without difficulty but it was really snug in the rib cage area and I felt it restricted my breathing.
