Why We Like The Eagle Sport Tire

From canyon descents to hill sprints, Goodyear’s Eagle Sport Clincher is ready to get the job done. It’s a classic clincher with reliable grip, thanks to its Dynamic:Pace compound that reduces rolling resistance with silica, and reduces flats with strengthening additives.

  • A go-anywhere road tire that doesn’t break the bank
  • Dynamic:Pace compound improves puncture resistance
  • Compound elevates grip while reducing rolling resistance
  • Increased tread cap provides lasting durability

Great Tire at a great price

I've used it several times

I decided to try these tires on my winter road bike. The first thing I noticed was how quiet these ries where on the road. I ran front and rear at 110psi and the lack of noise was very noticeable. In fact I rolled up past a walker and scared the crap out of him! Im over 200lbs so a quiet tire is not the usual trait you would notice. And the price is great as well.

Very glad I took a chance on these

I've been riding 28c GP5000's in the spring/summer/early fall for a while. These are still my favorite tires. However I don't like how quickly I wear them out. For me it's reliably 2500 miles, so 2 to 3 sets a season. This time I wanted to try something less expensive and I stumbled upon these. I decided to get a pair of 28c to try out. So far I'm really impressed. These are about 90% as fast as my GP5000's (my power numbers back this up). Grip is excellent, even in wet conditions. Grip on sandy surfaces is better than my 5000's were. These are definitely not as supple, however I wouldn't call them harsh. I've found 87-90 PSI is the sweet spot between speed and comfort for me. I only have about 1200 miles on them so far so I can't comment on longevity yet, but they don't show any signs of wear. I'll definitely be getting another pair of these. These are really a 4 star tire, but I'm giving them 5 stars because of the price
