Tremor MIPS Helmet
Hitting the trail with your mini-me is close to the top of most parent's top-5 list, but you want to make sure your little shredder is safe when they saddle up. Starting from the top, The Giro Tremor MIPS Helmet offers some of Giro's best technology from its adult line, but sized down for pint-sized riders. With loaded features, ample vents, and styling that looks just like the grown-ups helmets, it's easy to see why the Tremor is a favorite among the trail-hungry adventure groms.
The show-stopper on this particular model is MIPS technology—short for multi-directional impact protection system, which can redirect energy and provide more protection in certain styles of impacts — a particularly handy feature if your little one sees every curb as a jump, and craves laps in the neighborhood pump track after school every day. Moving from the MIPS technology, the helmet is built with tough, in-mold construction bonds EPS foam with a tough polycarbonate shell, providing a full-coverage hardbody shell that shields from blows, and impact foam that absorbs hits. Inside, the helmet uses padding that's easy to remove and wash after a hot day on the trail, and also features quick-drying properties to keep sweat wicked away and out of their eyes during the ride.
Designers at Giro understand how quickly kids can grow, which is why the Tremor is decked out with a RocLoc fit system for fast and secure fit adjustments. The helmet comes in a one-size-fits-most, which has a generous size range that allows your grom to transition from one season to the next without having to shell out cash for a new helmet every year.

Protect The Future
Gave this to my 3yr old daughter and have been very impressed with how sturdy and how lightweight the helmet is. Fits nice and snug with the RocLoc dial cinched tightly. This helmet has ample room for growth as well!

Super Comfortable Kid's Helmet
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I just bought the Matte Bright Green helmet for my 10yr old son and he loves it! It is super bright to make him visible on the trails or on the road, and the best part is he loves wearing it! This helmet fits 50cm to 57cm heads (19.75in to 22.5in).

Great but not as pictured
We now have two of these helmets. They fit great and span a bunch of head sizes. The purple one that was sent to us is not like the picture here. Has colored straps and black giro sticker.

Great Kids Helmets
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I got these for cousins aged 6, 7, and 9. I love the design, and that it adjusts to fit different sizes, so they can use them longer than a year. They used to complain about their helmets bothering them, but even after a month I have yet to hear anything negative from them.

Great youth helmet
I have a collection of helmets in the garage that the kids use, abuse, and grow out of. This one is one of my favorites. I like the fact that it has a sun visor (not bmx style) because I have a feeling it will have my 4 year olds face when he takes a dive. It is easily adjustable and my kids don't mind wearing it which is half the battle.

Super Lightweight and Comfortable
This helmet is lighter on my head than I was expecting which is a nice surprise! Another nice surprise that isn't shown in the product picture is that the chin strap doesn't have the annoying adjustable buckles where the 2 straps go from the helmet around your ears and join together at the chin. The straps are sewn together in the right place so its flat, light, and doesn't rub against my ears! This helmet is a youth helmet, but fits 50cm to 57cm heads (19.75in to 22.5in), so if you are an adult with a small head like me (51cm) then this helmet will fit you!
