Sotto Boa Cycling Shoe
The Giro Sotto Boa is a comfortable pair of road shoes that Giro shaped for indoor training and recreational cycling. Its moderately stiff sole performs well for riders clipping in for their first time, and Boa brings a dialed-in fit quickly. The upper is made of supple microfiber that Giro treated for water-resistance against muddy streets. Giro also treated the cushy EVA footbed in Aegis for long-lasting odor control.- Road shoe shaped comfortably for beginners and trainers
- DuPont Zytel sole optimized for strength and moderate stiffness
- Boa dial fastens the breathable, water-resistant uppder quickly
- Molded footbed with medium arch support and Aegis odor control
- Compatible with 3-bolt and 2-bolt cleats

I am using shimano SPD cleats, with these shoes and the only problem is they are not recessed for the ability to walk without damaging the cleat on bottom. next time I will look out for a recessed shoe. Otherwise I like the BOA style laces.

Great value! These are close to identical (other than color variation) to other Giro shoes priced 70% higher. They are very light and appear to be well built (time will tell). The nylon soles are plenty stiff for me, but I’ll confess I’m no racer. If I was, I probably wouldn’t be looking at shoes at this price point. I find these to be very very comfortable... I usually wear a 10.5 in everyday shoes, and 44 or 45 in bike shoes. I bought these in 44 and am happy with the fit. I own some carbon-soled shoes that I’ve used for the last 10 years but these are lighter, more comfortable, and I haven’t noticed any comparative lack of stiffness (again, sponsors are not calling me). Boa works fine... Not sure you can find a better shoe for the price today.

Purchased these to save some money on shoes/ cleats for my Peloton. Had to return for a smaller size, otherwise great. Normally wear 46 in Shimano, but need 45 for Giro....
