Toes are still freezing

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have had these shoe covers for 7 months now and I am just disappointed. For rides 4 miles and under they were okay, but anything over that my shoes would be soaked when I took them off at the end of my ride. As a result of my feet being wet, they just become ice boxes whenever I wear them. They also tear really easily. On the back of my left shoe cover there is a seam that tore when I was using the tab to pull them on, and it was my third time putting them on. Overall just disappointed find something else if you don't want wet cold feet when it isn't even raining.

These booties rock! I was nervous because I read reviews that the size large would be difficult to stretch over my size 11 road shoe. I did not have any issue and they fit snug with no hassle getting them on. The material reminds me of a wet suit (think scuba diving) and does a great job blocking the wind and providing warmth to train in winter conditions. I have only used them a few times but it seems if you play around with thicker and lighter sock combos in your shoe, these booties could be very versatile in all but extreme riding conditions. After much research on which shoe cover to by, I am very happy with my selection.

Great fit, toasty

Size large over a 44 shoe works great. Not too difficult to get on and off, and is still snug. Surprisingly warm - no numb toes even when temps drop down to freezing.

They work really well!

I have used several different booties during the last few years. Living in the Pacific Northwest and intent on riding through winter months necessitates having protection for the feet. These are the first booties I have used that actually kept my feet dry while riding in the rain. They are also quite warm. They are easy to put on and take off. My only complaint in a minor one. I wear size 43 Giro shoes. The guide suggests that size L is for 43 to 45. My sense is that a M would likely have been a better fit, perhaps a bit tight, but more aero. The L has a bit more space in it than I need, and, therefore, has some bulges which detract from the sleek look I prefer. That being said, It is really nice coming back from three hours riding in the rain with dry socks and shoes that will be ready to use the next day.

Will they work with mountain or road shoes?

Love them!

Only used it a couple of times but so far, these are great. They keep the feet warm, protect from the wind and seem to keep water away (have not used them in the rain yet, just wet roads). Overall they look great, fit well and I'm sure will come in handy when the temperatures drop!
