Item # GIR00BZ

Year-round protection.

Giro's Merino Wool Hightower Socks look like cold-weather socks at first glance, and though their thin construction and height suits them well to being layered under winter tights, they have their place on the trails year-round. Their soft, merino wool blend exhibits excellent breathability and moisture-wicking capabilities, and merino wool's ability to manage temperature makes it just as desirable in warm weather as in cold. If you've ever finished a ride with a mysterious rash or criss-crossing pattern of scratches along your exposed ankles, you know how valuable the Hightower's knee-high cuffs can be in the warmer months, offering reassuring protection against enterprising vegetation along the sides of your favorite trails.

  • All-weather merino wool sock for protection from brambles
  • Tall length shields shins from branches and debris while riding
  • Merino wool's natural wicking properties keep moisture managed
  • Midweight sock comfortable for most season riding

slim fit but good

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These socks are thin and tight on my calves which is fine but I wasn't expecting it. I run in them during spring and fall so they are the perfect extra layer. .

Very good socks

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

They are thin and confortable. They be in the place all day. Very good to be used under the tight in cold days.

Polka Dot Rock

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XL

Very comfortable socks that stay up all day and keep their shape when washing and drying. I be looking good at Protein House wearing these rather than a strenuous road ride. Definitely worth the clearance price.

Comfortable tall socks

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

These are really nice migweight socks, and come to a comfortable spot just under the knee. They are great for giving you just a little more warmth on cooler spring rides, or keeping your shins slightly protected from branches and rocks.

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Size Bought: M

Really nice socks, but don't stretch enough up top for my amazonian calves. Will be great for most people though!

I ended up with the Stoic Alpine Merino T3 instead (bit of a style trade off though).
