When Giro was designing its top-of-the-line Factress ACC Women’s Road Shoe, there was no question what it would use for its outsole—unidirectional carbon fiber from Easton. Meet your next ultra-high performance road shoe.
The Factress ACC starts with an ultra-thin, ultra-stiff Easton EC90 unidirectional carbon fiber outsole to deliver power directly to your pedals, but the high tech performance doesn’t end there. The upper is lightweight, breathable Teijin microfiber that allows your foot to regulate its temperature comfortably. The footbed is Giro’s SuperNatural Fit Kit with Adjustable Arch Support, and the shoe is lined with X-Static Anti-Microbial Fiber to manage moisture and odors.
Closure is pretty traditional for high-end road shoes — two hook-and-loop straps at the forefoot and a low-profile, micro-adjustable MR-1 ratcheting buckle that can be replaced if necessary. This closure design makes getting in and out of the shoe quick and easy and lets you make adjustments in the saddle. To round out the top-notch design, Giro included replaceable walking pads at the heel to ensure years of riding.

great price for the product
- Fit: Runs small
so far so good. I won't give 5-stars bc I haven't been on the road to ride these shoes yet. I've basically broke them in via the indoor trainer.... that being said, I do like them. They are a smaller sized shoe. I sized up when I order. I have a pair of Specialized S Works (4 yrs old) that I love, but didn't want to drop $$$ on shoes right now. The Giro's appear to be a great bang for the buck. Great looks and comfortable fit, thus far. Again, I haven't been on the road for any lengthy mileage. Once I get outside to ride, I'll edit the post (if site allows for edits)
