Description

The time is now.

Tested, tweaked, and obsessed over for the past two years by the scientists at Giro, the Men's Chrono Pro Bib Shorts set the gold standard for excellence in road cycling apparel. Attention is paid to every detail in these bib shorts and it starts with the top-tier Italian fabrics that provide the stretch, breathability, and wicking performance you need to take on all-day endeavors in the saddle.

Premium Italian Lycra gives you ample compression and durability, while the custom stretch bib straps move as you do, never fold or bunch, and lay flat against shoulders and back for a chafe-free fit. Giro implemented a knit lumbar support panel to deliver essential support to your lower back for relief on long rides, as well as a Custom Chrono Pro Chamois to absorb harsh impact and smooth out chattery vibrations at high speeds. Custom leg grippers do their part to secure these bibs in place from start to finish, and reflective details throughout enhance your overall visibility on low-light road rides.
  • Masterfully-designed road cycling bib shorts for every ride
  • Italian fabrics deliver a compressive, breathable, stretchy fit
  • Mesh panels enhance ventilation and wicking performance
  • Plush chamois cushions and protects against impact and chatter

Coming up short for being too short

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I really like the Chrono Pro bibs. The materials are excellent. Both the exterior fabrics and chamois have a premium hand, breathe well, and look nice. The straps are great, and even the compression is dead on perfect. The kicker is that they're cut a couple of inches too short on the leg. Call it a phase, but at the moment long Lycra is in style. If Giro updates them to fall a little closer to the knee, I think we might have a serious Assos contender. Sizing is pretty consistent with anything else. I wear a medium in Pearl, Girodana, and Assos, and that's where I felt at home in the Chrono bibs.
