Stopping for a nature break while sporting bibs is typically a session of removing layers of clothing in an attempt to access bib straps so we can get down to business. While this is an inconvenience while riding in idyllic conditions, it's a down-right pain when it's cold out. Someone at Giro must've had an aha moment one chilly ride and had enough. Fortunately, their design element made its way into the Chrono Expert Thermal Bib Tight. Thanks to the ingenious halter bib design, we no longer have to strip off all of our warm layers when it's time to go.
Adding some luxury to the cold weather riding experience is the comfortable Italian thermal fabric construction. The material provides excellent temperature management and the DWR coating kept us dry. A center panel with a wind blocking membrane keeps winter winds in check. A UPF 50+ rating keeps the sun's rays under control for extended hours during sun drenched days. We instant;y appreciated the comfort of the Chrono CyTech Expert Chamois' immediately upon clicking in and for the duration of the ride, mostly forgot about it. Honestly, this is the highest praise we could give to a chamois. Reflective highlights and logo help with visibility at dawn and dusk.
