Description

Smart layers.

The Giro women's Sleeveless Chrono Base Layer combines high-tech fabrics with streamlined styling to provide a cool, comfortable ride. Made from a soft and stretchy synthetic blend, this base layer whisks moisture away and moves with you as you change positions on the bike to eliminate uncomfortable bunching or chafing. Lightweight construction makes this a versatile piece of cycling kit, easily layered under a summer jersey to improve moisture management or under a fleecy jacket to add just a hint of extra layering for chillier days.

Perfect

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I was looking for something soft and next to skin feeling and I have found it! It isn’t bulky and is comfortably snug (read not constricting) in all the right places for free movement. I’m weary this mostly in the fall for a little extra insulation so I don’t know how it will feel in the summer...but it is light enough weight that I suppose it would do nicely. One more thing, it comes up high in the front so if ya unzip your jersey it still covers your girls well.

Smooth and Simple

In my opinion, a good (great) baselayer shouldn't be noticed. It should do its job--insulate, wick sweat, without a lot of pomp and circumstance.

The Giro Chrono does this exceptionally well. It lays flat and stretches well, keeping a smooth silhouette beneath jersey and bibs. It insulates well, surprisingly so over this weekend's 60* rides. I've been really impressed with it so far!

Sizing wise: I took a small/medium and it fits well. I'm 5'6", 145#, 32D.
