Clip in and get dirty.
Whether you're looking to test the waters of trail riding or have been shredding dirt for years and just need to replace your worn out old shoes, the Giro men's Carbide R Shoes are right on point to tackle the trail. With molded EVA footbeds for a comfy fit, a rugged outsole, and Giro's signature aesthetics, these shoes cut a clean line through the dirt and mud with style that won't get funny looks at the post-ride pizza gathering.
The Carbide R features a comfortable, supportive footbed to cradle your feet and reduce fatigue. A co-molded nylon and rubber outsole provides oodles of traction and stiffness for effective power transfer while keeping the cost down compared to the high price of carbon-soled options.
The upper is made of breathable synthetic leather with three hook-and-loop straps that provide a comfortable, customized fit without any irritating pressure points. To cap it all off, pre-drilled holes under the toes accommodate toe spikes for added traction during hike-a-bike situations and extra gnarly trails.

Basic shoe that will wear out fast
- Fit: True to size
Bought this shoe less than 2 years ago and it is basicly trashed. The nobs on the bottom are ripped up and makes walking difficult. I ride technical trails and these just didn't hold up as well as I hoped. I would not buy them again.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: 13
Used it a few times already, only on stationary bikes, and it works great. First pair of clip-In shoes, so maybe his is normal, but there was no cleats in the box, I had to go to a bike store and buy a set.
Amazing shoe. It is very breathable. The velcro is nice and the price is great aswell
Nice shoe but sizing seemed off.
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: 46
I'm giving this product 4 stars after returning it! The quality seemed very good so I think it was a good value. Others have commented that they are true to size, so I ordered per the sizing chart but they were for my feet too small, probably be about 1/2 size.
These are comfortable and durable and good shoes. I wear them for riding on the trails and they work great so far. Good and true to size fit
