Old soul.

You're not much of one for logos, loud accents, or shiny graphics on cycling kit. In fact, you often find yourself pining for the halcyon days of wool jerseys and simple black bib shorts, days when socks didn't come up around cyclists' calves and helmets barely covered the entire head. Those were the days, and even if you weren't around for them, Giordana was. With its Sport collection, the brand embraces modern fabric and construction to create pieces like the Sport Men's Bib Shorts with all of the classic, heritage style of the days when cyclists couldn't be bothered with anything but simple functionality.

Fabrics have come a long way since the good ol' days, and we're grateful we now have the freedom to pick and choose the best of new advancements and styles from eras past. The Sport's HC50 microfiber is highly functional, able to adeptly pull moisture away from your skin as you sweat while maintaining a contoured, supportive fit around your muscles. The LoPro 0 elastic microfiber and 190 mesh bib straps are also a form-is-function affair that maintains a low profile will moving with you in the saddle. Within the shorts, Giordana trusts its Cirro chamois to cushion and support you during training rides and weekend jaunts. Its plush, flexible foam construction is also moisture-wicking and smoothly integrates with the rest of the shorts.

Great product from Giordana

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Large

I've had this bib for months now and love it every time I wear it. The chamois is up there with the best my butt has experienced. The bib fits tight for the size so I'd definitely say it's race cut. I personally love how simple and understated it is as I've grown to dislike flashy outfits for amateur riders. I find the compression perfect and I have pretty muscular legs for my size so I disagree with Jonathan; it just may be a function of personal fit and anatomy.

My Go To

  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

I've tried Assos and Castelli Free Aero bibs in the past, but they never seem to fit me well. This bib fits perfectly and i've taken it out on 50+ mile rides with no issues.

Not typical Giordana

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Medium

I have been a loyal Giordana bib user. I purchased FRC BODY CLONE bibs for a few years then went to the Lasers which I thought were as good or better at a lower cost. With the Lasers discontinued I thought I would try the Sport (at 50% off!). I am 5' 7" and 157 lbs and I wear a medium comfortably in almost everything. These bibs were downright uncomfortable. Chamois is good, same as Laser; but the fit was overly tight on the legs (not compression, just tight). Material did not have that comfy stretchy feel of FRC or Laser. Straps felt heavier and tight. It was partly a sizing issue but also these seemed a grade below FRC or Laser. Returned for ASSOS t'equipe which is my new "go to" bib.
