Giordana SilverLine Classic Jersey - Short-Sleeve - Men's $129.95
Bred from the best.
Taking inspiration from Giordana's top-shelf offerings, the Giordana SilverLine Classic Men's Jersey instills premium fabrics, stylish aesthetics, and comfort-driven design into a relatively affordable jersey. Richly detailed, the SilverLine Classic drapes you in lively colors and reflective details that pop nicely without being overly loud and raucous on the road. Giordana's Classic fit has evolved over decades of extensive design and testing for a comfortable, non-restrictive feel. Strategic paneling comfortably hugs a cyclist's body to reduce drag from excess material.
Soft, moisture-wicking fabric employs a specific weave along that channels built-up perspiration off your body to the outside surface for rapid evaporation. Breathable mesh along the underarms and lower back facilitates airy-cool comfort when you're pedaling along in sweltering temperatures. Both fabrics block harmful UV rays while promoting lasting freshness with its antimicrobial properties. Rounding things out, soft, woven elastic along the arm cuffs and a simple turned elastic waistband comfortably conform to the body for a secure fit that's free of flapping in the riding position. Also, the waistband's rear uses a smooth gripper for a non-slip fit when you're dropped over the bars.
- A classic jersey for training and recreational riding
- Cut is relaxed but still streamlined for saddle life
- Material blend stresses wicking and cooling airflow
- Mesh inserts promote additional airflow
- Anti-odor properties help reduce funk on century rides
- Elastic hem and cuffs ensure fit

Very nice at discount
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: Runs large
- Size Bought: XL
I bought the Silverline bibs in large, and they were almost too small. I bought the shirt in XL, based on that and the size chart, and it's just annoyingly close to being too big. I like a slim aero fit, myself.
But all that aside, this is a very nicely designed shirt with great fitting sleeves and a sturdy zipper (that many much-more-expensive shirts don't have). It's great for my fat season, at least.
My New "Go To" Summer Jersey
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: Runs small
This is the second jersey I purchased after a much too long hiatus from cycling. My favorite vintage jerseys from the early 1980's were both Girodanas because of their build quality first and foremost followed by their great design. So--just to be up front--I came with a bias when looking for new jerseys and it did not take long after shopping around that I returned to my roots with Giordana. On my very first Silverline Classic jersey order I went strictly by the sizing chart and ordered an XL. Big mistake on my part. It felt like a race fit and ended up binding my chest just below the arms pits. Not just uncomfortable; borderline painful uncomfortable. I returned the XL and ordered an XXL along with a 3XL to do a side-by-side size comparison. While the 3XL was a true relaxed fit, I didn't care for how long and loose the sleeves were so it went back. The XXL was a great modern "relaxed" snug fit for both torso and arms with perfect length of the sleeves. Because of purchasing so late in the season and with winter rolling in I haven't been able to put it through the wringer yet, but with what little time I've spent with it I was impressed enough that I realized this would be my "go to" Spring/Summer jersey for all around riding and training. I ordered two more XL Silverline Classics soon after in different colors and am contemplating adding a fourth Silverline Classic. My rule of thumb is if you find something that you really like, and you know you'll want to wear it, and they have it in your size, you better grab it before it is gone. This I have found to be especially true in my size range. If I don't like it then I'll never be inclined to wear it regardless of the price. I really, really like the Silverline Classic for its technology and its simplistic design. I have a simple palette preference: white, black and grey. The white/black Silverline Classic is as good as it gets for me: a minimalist, simple design of white, black and grey that looks as good as it functions. I like the Silverline Classic line so much that I ended up purchasing three total jerseys in different colors. I know a lot of people often confuse low price with value. For me, the Silverline offers incredible value regardless of the price you pay for it.
why black on clothes for hot weather
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Last year's version is great. Super breathable, nice and cool. And sensible colors for hot weather. So why are almost all of these made with black shoulders, to absorb heat just when you don't need it? Bummer that the 2016 stuff is mostly gone.
Dialed & Affordable
Compare this jersey to those priced at the top end of the marketplace and you sacrifice minimal performance, but save plenty at checkout. That's been consistent for in my experience through the years with Giordana's Silverline, and this is their best yet.
love these for summer
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
I bought a couple on sale, the fluo yellow and fluo blue.Im 5'8 145 and wear a large, its snug but not race tight. I use these when i go on my big rides on the roads with a lot of hills. They are light and breath well.....zippers works flawlessly and easily.Rear pocket stay good when filled and can access them with no problem, there height is perfect. Most importantly your going to be seen, I don't care as much on dedicated greenways but when on busy roads doing distance I want to stand out! These do it with style. I'm kinda a gear head and love trying stuff from different companies. I tried them all including Rapha Assos etc. Giordana is still one of my go to's and the Silverline line is my favorite, love their silverline bibs as well, I'll reach for them for the long rides before the Assos.
