You don't know it yet but you need this!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
Who would have thought that such a seemingly insignificant little piece of cloth would turn out to be one of the most valuable and versatile items for my winter riding. On it's own I've found it to be surprisingly warm in modestly cold temperatures by, because of it's somewhat elasticized nature, staying hugged to my ears and covering enough of my head to maintain warmth. When the temperature dips, I wear it over any skull cap for added protection. This two-layer method is also highly recommended because the Giordana outer layer prevents whatever skull cap I'm wearing from creeping up over my ears during my rides, which is something I can't seem to prevent otherwise. Lastly, because it's so light, it makes a fine buff substitute for one's neck, in case you're not the buff type. When the weather warms, it easily rolls up and becomes unnoticeable in your pocket. I've worn mine for years and always wash cold and line dry. Thinking of picking up a second one to use for my neck when the one I have is busy on my head.
