FR-C Pro Bib Short

Donned by pro cyclists all over the world, the Giordana FR-C Pro Women's Shorts are the same high quality construction and style that you'll find gracing podiums left and right, just with a clean and minimally branded aesthetic more fitting for coffee rides and training sessions on your favorite local loops. These bib shorts inherit the lauded details of the standard FR-C, with the addition of colorful flat lock stitch seams for a bit of contrast and perfect pairing with the FR-C Pro jersey.

The star of the FR-C Pro's construction is the 220 gram, 50 thread count HC50 Lycra providing supportive compression to promote blood flow and reduce the fatigue caused by road vibrations and muscle oscillation over long days in the saddle. In a nod to durability, Giordana adds abrasion resistant fabric on the seat panel for increased resistance to pedaling friction that will keep these shorts looking like new after the competition has succumbed to thinned fabric patches and wear.

The shorts' body is kept in place by the usual light and airy bibs up top and the decidedly unusual 190 E leg bands down low. The 190 E bands spread a soft, non-restrictive, and gently compressive grip across the cuffs with an integrated silicone application to help keep everything in place.

Inside the FR-C Pro Bib Shorts, you'll find Giordana's top-of-the-line, women's specific Cirro S chamois. This seamless, single-piece insert has foam padding of varying thicknesses and densities to ensure comfort while minimizing bulk. It's elastic, so it moves and stretches with you as you ride, and then returns to its original shape when you're done. As an added touch, the outer layer of the pad uses a special Nylon microfiber that incorporates aloe vera for its protective and hygienic properties.

  • A bib short worthy of pro-level racing
  • Toned down aesthetics pair up perfectly with your go-to kit
  • Compressive fabrics provide support over long miles
  • Abrasion-resistant seat panel prolongs the short's lifespan
  • Ametista Carbon waist panel offers lightweight support
  • 190 E leg bands hold hems securely in place
  • Supportive chamois protects with minimal bulk

It only looks good, not worth full price

I returned this product before using it
Runs large

This looked great in the pictures so I thought I'd give it a further look and ordered the Navy bib shorts with matching Navy jersey as well as the Coral Jersey. I touched the fabric, tried them on, stretched the leg and arm bands. My analysis......not worth full price! I'm going to return it and maybe buy it again when the price drops to 50% off. The fabric and leg/arm bands feel and look cheap, bib shorts fabric don't offer a lot of compression and padding is okay, kind of bulky. I'll order a smaller size next time (when they go down in price). I have an older FRC kit and it's so much better, don't know what happened to the newer ones. Leg length is longer than most bib shorts I own but I don't mind it. This entire Navy kit super cute though if that's all that matters. I'd rather spend my money on the other brands that are just as cute (Assos, Rapha, Velocio).

Best Bibs Ever

I've used it several times

FRC should stand for Freaky Ridiculous Comfort. The bib straps are soft and comfortable like your favorite hoodie. I was shocked at how comfortable and feather light feel the chamois has. I love how the fabric compresses my legs like a good hug and stays put with a soft gentle gripper. The first time I put them on they were so comfy I ended up spending a little extra chamois time in them, and purchasing another pair so I had both black and navy. 10/10 will buy another

Not as good in 2018

I've put it through the wringer

I agree with the reviews below that the FRC bibs, previously the only bibs or shorts I would wear, are not as good this year. I did not find the length excessive, but the leg band now hits me at a very uncomfortable spot that it never used to. I also think the chamois is not as good as previous models. I am lucky that I still have 3 pairs of the 2017 model, because I don't touch this year's version unless I have nothing else left to wear. I would not buy these again unless they returned to the previous specifications.

Way too long

I love FRC bibs. Pretty much the only bib I wear. I was hoping to get a couple new pairs for this season but these are LONG. Really LONG. I’m 5’8” and they almost come to my knees. Going back. If you like very long bibs I’m sure these will be great. Giordana FRC is the best. But these are not for me. Bummer.

Really Lovely--Really Long

I returned this product before using it
Runs small

These bibs are gorgeous and feel amazing, they were simply too long inseam-wise for my liking. The straps are laser cut and lay well, the chamois A+. Inseam length is 9" from the edge of the chamois to the bottom of hem. 12" from center chamois seam to hem. On my 5'6" (29" inseam) self, they came to just above my knee. Like most Giordana kit, this runs small. The large fit well.
