The FR-C Pro Doppio Suit showcases Giordana’s racing heritage in a pro-level suit perfect for warm weather races. Combining their top of the line jersey and shorts, the Doppio delivers the aerodynamic advantage and next-to-skin fit we need when every second counts on race day.

Like other pieces in the FR-C Pro line, the Doppio suit uses a combination of premium fabrics, each best suited to their area of use. On the jersey portion, a lightweight microfiber blend of materials sits softly against the skin and is designed to breathe, block out UV rays, reduce bacterial funk, and move perspiration away from your skin. A lightweight satin-like mesh under the arms, on the rear pockets, and at the collar provides additional ventilation for when the pace quickens and we’ve got to step on the gas.

The short portion follows the design of the FR-C Pro shorts and bibs, using a premium Lycra for optimal compression to promote blood flow and reduce fatigue. Giordana uses abrasion-resistant fabrics on the seat panel and inner legs to decrease friction from pedaling to keep the shorts lasting longer. 190 E elastic leg bands provide a wide and unobtrusive grip to keep the shorts in place, without pinching or causing discomfort. A short is only as valuable as its insert, and the Giordana Cirro S W chamois is one of our absolute favorites. Its seamless, single-piece construction has varied thickness throughout for optimal comfort without bulk. The elastic construction’s flexibility moves with the rider, rather than against us, and the permanent aloe-vera infusion ensures our comfort race after race.

Materials are nothing without a proper fit and like all FormaRed-Carbon garments, this suit employs Giordana’s BodyClone cut for impressive aerodynamics and allows the materials to better do their job. The contour fit is specific to the riding position, optimizing both comfort and aerodynamics. The jersey portion is attached to the shorts at the back and sides, with the front opening via a full-length zipper. We love this design as it stays put through our hardest sprints, no jersey riding up or bibs moving around to distract us from the goal. The zipper also makes venting easy if we need on the climbs and makes it simpler to get out of when we’re thoroughly worn out after the race.
