FR-C Pro Bib Short
Whether you're toeing the line on race day, or heading out for a rigorous training ride, the FR-C Pro Bib Shorts set the benchmark for performance and comfort. Designed in conjunction with Giordana's Pro Teams, these award-winning shorts offer a highly-coveted balance of compressive support coupled with a barely-there feel that makes every movement on the bike feel natural and comfortable.
The shorts are constructed from Giordana's HC50 High Compression Power Lycra, which is a supercharged fabric that takes the previous generation's HC-44 Lycra to another level by providing added compression with a higher thread count. HC-50's ultra-compact knit is lighter and offers improved performance thanks to a higher compression rate that's typically only found only in heavier fabrics. Zaffiro 2.0, a textured anti-abrasion Lyrca, is utilized on the inner leg and seat panel as it increases the shorts' resistance to pedaling friction.
Our favorite feature might just be the 190 E leg cuffs. Giordana uses a soft, mesh-like elastic that expands for improved comfort with less restriction. This doesn't sacrifice the security of the fit though, as the taller 7.5cm cuff height and internal silicone grippers are more than enough to keep the shorts in place while pedaling.
We've always been proponents of Giordana's FormaRed fit, but the revised construction ups the ante even more by virtually eliminating creased and bunched fabrics throughout the pedal stroke. The top-tier Cirro OmniForm chamois utilizes varying thickness with plush cushioning in critical zones, and relief where you need it most. The face fabric utilizes a Nylon microfiber that incorporates Aloe Vera permanently infused into the threads for improved cooling and reduced odor accumulation. Underneath this fabric is an expanded memory foam layer with a waffled texture that aids in breathability and moisture management by moving perspiration to the outside of the shorts for quick evaporation.
- Pro level bib shorts bring performance and comfort to any ride
- Fabrics combine compressive support with a lightweight, soft feel
- Cirro OmniForm chamois is comfortable for many miles
- Construction reduces folding and bunching while pedaling
- Non-restrictive leg bands offer a comfortable, secure fit
- Strategic Core Contour System paneling helps fight fatigue
- Lightweight, lie-flat bib straps add support without bulk
- Abrastion-resistant Lycra on inner thighs and seat for durability
- Ametista fabric at waist for added comfort and support
- Crafted with care in Giordana's own Italian factory

Great bibs for riding indoors
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Fit:
- True to size
- Size Bought
- Large
- Height
- 5` 8"
- Weight
- 185 lbs
I bought these because I ride alot of zwift and do structured training inside on trainer and my lightweight race bibs would start hurting my butt after an hour in the saddle and I had to keep standing up often or adjust myself and my numbers were off when my coach reviewed my ride. I started looking into "zwift" or indoor bibs with a thick pad on chamois. The main ones were assos cento and fr-c pro who was recommended to Me by one of the managers at competitive cyclist since it had a 14mm pad. So far these have been great and I can ride longer without having to adjust myself always and my numbers are more accurate since I'm not moving around alot being uncomfortable. I haven't tried the wahoo le col zwift bibs but I've tried these and the assos cento and recommended them both. If your short on money or don't want to spend alot I think sportful has a pair that's got a 18mm pad and only $110?? I'm 5'8 185lbs and I did notice these run a little long and the thigh band ends up over my kneecap damn near so I have to fold it so be aware that they run long. I just fold them slightly but I also like my shorts a little higher on on thigh Anyways these are amazing for indoors and long rides. Highly recommend

Best Bibs!
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer

The most comfort I’ve ever ridden in. Bought a couple of pairs. The chamois is dense and offers a lot of cushion without being bulky. The slight compression in the legs is noticeable. These hold up over long miles. The performance is more appreciated the longer the ride. I’m usually a medium or large, depending on the brand. I’m definitely a large in these, so they may run a bit small.

Simply the most comfortable, best fitting, bibs I’ve ever ridden in. Bought a couple of pairs and coming back for another pair. The chamois is awesome and the slight compression is noticeable. The performance is especially great on rides over two hours. The benefit is more noticeable the longer I ride. I’m usually a medium or large, depending on the brand. I’m definitely a large in these, so they may run a bit small.

I have been a absolute Assos fan. But the FR-C's fit my body even better. Nothing wrong with the past bibs, just enjoying the fit better with the Giordano's bibs.

Good pad that doesn't bunch up, materials are nice, the legs just slightly short for me with the nice wide grippers riding a little high up on the quads. Closely comparable to the Castelli endurance bibs with progetto air pad they replace. Not quite Assos territory in terms of materials, paneling, fit and finish, but the Assos endurance pads don't work for me. The Castelli pad went hard and flat after about 300-400 hours in them and they're now relegated to short rides under a few hours where it doesn't matter a whole lot; let's see how long the FR-C's last. Very comfy so far, with about 250 mi/20k ft on them. If they last reasonably well I can see getting more of these in the future. The pad is slightly far back for me, meaning there is a lot of padding where my butt never meets the saddle, but it doesn't cause problems since it stays stretched out while covering and preventing pressure spots where needed.

Second Pair Of FRC-Pro Bibs
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Fit:
- True to size
- Size Bought
- L
- Weight
- 205 lbs
This is my second pair of the FRC-Pro bibs. I loved the first ones. By far the best piece of kit I have owned. I just bought the first pair this spring, and these are actually a little different here and there with subtle improvements to stitching, etc. I have switched all my buying to Giordana FRC-Pro products right now. Everything about them is great....the comfort, the chamois, the quality, etc. My last pair was an XL. These are a L. I am 6'3" and a strong 205lbs. These are maybe just a touch small, but the XLs are just a touch big. The shoulder straps are nice and wide though, so they are still comfortable and don't bite at all.

I’ve always used shorts. The gear head highly recommended that I try bib shorts. I tried over 12 bib shorts. FR-C bibs are the best. Hugs around my legs perfectly. Very comfortable. Superb material. No base layer needed.

I ordered 2XL on these with a 38-40" waist and cannot possibly fit me. Can't understand why sizing is so far off on this. Having to return. Good looking product but apparently only for skinny italian racers!

These are really comfortable bib shorts. In particular, I like the shoulder straps, chamois, and the leg grippers. I find that they fit true to size. The material is supportive without being tight. Of note, I purchased the midnight blue and it matches the midnight blue of the jersey even though it doesn't look it from the website.

First off the chamois on these things is amazing. Super comfortable on long rides. I've put a decent amount of miles on my pair and they seem to be holding up just fine. Only thing I dislike is how high the chamois comes up in the front. I wish it came up slightly higher but that's just personal preference. Overall worth the money.

I’m the type that likes to try out a few pieces of gear and then pick a favorite and stick with it. I really liked Assos Mille S5’s. Have the newer Assos Equipe’s along with a couple other cheaper brands. Then got these FRC’s by Giordana. They are really really nice. The straps are unnoticeable (ideal). The material is very high quality. The compression is noticeable and just right for me. Not too tight. I’m 5’9” 158lb and got size large. Fits just right. You will read reviews saying the chamois looks and feels huge (wide). It does seem wider than in other bibs I wear, but it does not effect me nor change how it feels while riding. I’m impressed with the chamois and I’m kind of picky.

I am in Vegas helping my parents, and brought my S-Works with me. I thought I had a couple choices for bibs, but found the options had a bit less comfort than I remembered. Competitive took great care of me on my orders, and I decided on this option. The young lady on the phone took my order, and gave me a price match with shipping. These are the most comfortable bibs I have ridden. I have only one day in them, but compared to my two other available options, my bumm is happy. The chamois is sized for comfort, without bunching. The material provides a solid platform in the saddle, and the compression on the thighs was appreciated. The bib part of these shorts is, "light & airy." The shoulder straps stay in place, and never felt like they were present. Great kit, now I am going to look at a jersey.

Caught these during the TDF sale in mid July for a good deal. The chamois is wider than any other chamois i've ever used and its a bit thick. Why is that worth mention? if you have very narrow sit bones, it slightly bunches up between your legs and can cause a hot spot in mid crotch, even after it gets broken in, after 6 to 8, 30-50 mile rides. The bib straps are wide and have no stitching, they're very comfortable however, they are about 1 inch too short. When standing off of the bike you really notice this, when on bike and crouched over, not a big deal but I do get minor warm/red spots on top of traps where the bib straps are after 2-3 hr. rides. Fit is dead on, seemed slightly snug at first but these broke in an relaxed after 6-8 rides, give them a chance, the first 2-3 rides I was questioning my purchase. Got size L and they are right on w/ length, waist, etc. FYI - If you "pull" your bibs from the back, at the chamois pad stitching to move them a bit for fit, be warned, I tore both sides of the chamois pad (right & left) about 1 inch inside the stitching, between the layers of fabric. Surprisingly, the chamois didn't wad up or bunch, it stayed in place, even with a 1-2 inch tear in the chamois foam, that is in between the outer bib fabric and the inner chamois cover that's against your skin. Speaks to Giordana's quality in a good way.

Assos, Mille: best for relaxed fit, very comfortable, move with body best of bunch, floating chamois works well. Capo: love the material, best overall chamois, a good deal of compression, longer leg, crappy rubber gripper rings, feel warm-insulated some, Specialized SL Race: very good overall, but nothing is a specific strength, belly cut is weird. Giordana: good compression but slightly less than CAPO, Vgood fit, move nearly as good but not Assos, longer leg (preference), very lightweight feel but strong materials: Overall rating: Assos, Giordana, Capo/Spesh tie.

I loved my Assos and told people that it they were the best bibs that I have owned. My riding partner/bike shop owner told me that he loved his Giordana FR-Cs. I I've put only 200 miles in them. I can't speak to the durability of these bibs, but I love the fit and the chamois. I'll wear these bibs for my longer rides now.

For starters I use the same chamois product for all my bibs. I’ve paid more for some Swiss bibs and some other Italian brands from notable competitors and been disappointed after one sub 50 mile ride. In other instances the craftsmanship wasn’t commensurate with the brand hype. What I like about the Giordana FR-C bib is that they’re comfortable regardless of intensity, duration or distance. Further, I like they’re durability when it comes to washing and frequent (daily) use. To the extent that I value comfort in the saddle I picked up another pair of the exact same bib shorts and have used them exclusively this year. From the soft wide shoulder straps and overall quality stitch work I’m 5 star pleased.

It's my first Giordana bib (normally I go for Assos) and I'm sure to come back for another when the time is right. Taken it on two rides so far, a short 15miles and 50 miles. Very comfortable, light, with great range of motion. The best thing about it is - you will forget about it, its that good.

I’m assos guy as well. I am impressed with these, fit is a tad small, quality top notch, pad a tad thicker than I like,
