I own a good bit of Giordana kit including bib shorts. I had loved some and some not (Sahara bib shorts). I really like the fit, the compression, the chamois, and the straps on these bib shorts. I love the shorter length too in that I am just slightly long waisted. Would buy another pair and probably will.
First of all, I love these bibs. I can ride 100 miles with no discomfort. The pad is excellent and the fit is spot on. I have tried bibs from all the major brands and these are the only ones that didn’t chafe or cause me to get off the saddle after 30 miles. Now for the bad part...the thread used to stitch the pad to the short falls apart after 200 miles or so. I have purchased three of these bibs and all of them have had the stitching fall apart in short order. Fortunately I just pull out the sewing machine and sew it with high quality thread and it becomes the amazing bib it is supposed to be. I don’t return it because a new one would fall apart as well and I haven’t found a better bib yet. It is frustrating to pay so much for a quality product and have to sew it up while its still brand new.
These bibs have been nothing short of fantastic on every ride that I have taken them on. They are definitely have more compression than a lot of the other bibs I have used, but so far, that has been a plus. One thing that I liked is that the legs stayed in place and did not ride up even on longer rides. The chamois has been very comfortable, ever when riding on the trails. Even when things get warm out, these bibs seemed to breathe fairly well and help keep me cool. I opted for the 5cm shorter option since I am not a tall person whatsoever, and I read that the traditional FR-C Pro Bibs tend to have a longer inseam. I found these to be perfect for me.
The FR-C Pro Bibs from Giordana are amazing! You can expect the high quality stitching and materials used for these bibs. The chamois is comfortable. Also the inseam is short but not too short. The size chart included was spot on. I'm a 30in waist and purchased a medium.
