Fox partnered with legendary seal maker SKF to develop their low-friction fork seals. This Fox Dust Wiper Kit is standard equipment on current Fox Forks, and these seals are what give them such a buttery smooth feel along with the Kashima Coat.

Forks are one of those things that get taken for granted when they're working as they should, and cursed when they're not. Most of the time it's our own fault for not doing the little things like changing the oil. The dust wipers are equally as important as they're the first line of defense from the grit and grime of the trail. Needless to say, it's a good idea to replace them when you do your oil. The Fox Dust Wiper Kit is available to fit all Fox Forks. Choose the set that corresponds with your fork stanchion diameter -- 32, 34, 36, or 40mm.

  • Designed with SKF
  • Kit contains dust seals, lower seals, and crush washer

Pay now, or pay later

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Suspension maintenance can be looked at as one of those necessary evils. Seems like twice a year to have a buttery smooth operating fork is just too much time and expense. Pay a little each year and have a great working fork for several years or ignore the preventative maintenance altogether and pay like $1000 every two years for a new fork. Easy decision for me.

Fresh seals= Happy Fork

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Keeping up with regular scheduled maintenance on your fork will not only improve the longevity your fork, but also improve your overall riding experience.

Like New

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Regularly servicing your suspension will keep your bike riding like new. Worth the time and money to keep your expensive bike running smooth.

A must have!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Suspension parts don't maintain themselves. Keep that expensive fork running to its fullest potential by keeping replaceable parts swapped out every 100 riding hours or sooner.

Get 'er done

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

It's probably a good idea to take care of that pricey fork of yours, and this is the best way to do it. Keep your fork clean, and your fork will love you forever!

Seals the Deal

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Had some leakage on my 34, swapped out seals, and the leak is gone!

Removing them took some effort as I was scared to just manhandle them, but that's pretty much what I needed to to.

Installing new seals was a pain to get in level and pushed as I don't have the install tool; I don't really have a trick for them.

When the seal goes get this kit

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Fox recommends replacing these seals after 100 hours of use.

fox 34 dust wiper kit

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Changing seals on a fox 34 fork. A must have seal kit.

Wipey Wipey

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Wipe the dust off your stanchions so they don't get inside the fork. I usually change these on my forks at least once a season, more if I've been riding in nasty weather. These work great, make sure you have a dedicated seal pushing tool so you don't damage them when installing.

At some point you will need these

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

As others have said, try to replace your seals and oil once a season at minimum to keep your fork running smooth. I sometimes fall behind and get lax with suspension service. Changing seals and oil makes your fork feel like new again, and reminds me why you're supposed to do it regularly. It will prolong the life of your fork if you do.

Crucial maintenance

These should be in the tool box of every serious rider. Forks take a beating throughout the course of a season and changing the seals/fluid is critical. Plus they are very reasonably priced.

    Great seal kit

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Excellent design and made of premium materials. They fit so tightly it's unbelievable. These Greatly reduces static friction on the fork Seals on its first service.

    Seems wierd to review this

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

BUT, you should overhaul your fork. And with fresh seals and new fluid, my fork feels brand new!

    Make your fork buttery again

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Kind of spending for what it is but you don't really have other options. Easy to do yourself and makes your fork feel great once again.

    Fresh forks

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Look up some youtube videos, gather your parts, and spent a night in the garage freshening your fork up. Your seals take a lot of abuse, make sure you pop some new ones in before it's too late!

    what I needed

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Got these for my Fox forks. I went by the description and fit my forks great. Came with a few extra parts for other models, but came with all parts required to do the job.

    Unanswered Question

My Fox Float RL shock dates back to about 2002 or 3. do I need a different wiper kit?

be careful, image does not match product

silly me, I went by the image but did not search for other examples of flangeless dust wipers. The image on the website shows the old style dust wipers, not the flangeless ones. Dont make my mistake, double check which ones you have before ordering..... especially before pulling the old ones out of your fork like i did :-/

in my picture the old seal is on the left (the one shown on the website) and the flangeless seal is the one on the right.

I gave it 5 starts because i have replaced my FOX wipers many times before and they have always performed flawlessly :-)

      Preventive Maintenance

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Fox recommends to service your fork every 60 hrs. There are hundreds of how to videos on you tube to help you service and rebuild your fork. These seals are the factory seals that fox uses on all of their forks. Comes with seals, dust wipers, and crush washers. You will need to purchase fox suspension oil and lint free rags too be able to change out the seals. If you have questions feel free to shoot me an email at ddalton@backcountry.com
