As of late, it's hard not to notice the surge in plus-sized trail bikes taking over local networks and premiere riding destinations. Suspension and component manufacturers haven't neglected this uptick in 27.5+ demand either, with the main players making a slew of new products to complement the massive traction and bump compliance of these bikes. Realizing that plus-sized bikes are legitimate fun and here to stay, FOX designed the 34 Float 27.5 Plus 140 3Pos-Adj FIT 4 Boost Fork (51mm Rake) for the larger clearance required by the stout wheels and wider tires of 27.5+ trail bikes. 34-millimeter stanchions strike a nice balance between stiff tracking across rough trails with lightweight efficiency desired for trails with lots of pedaling and climbing.

Overhauled from the previous model year, the 34 Float is revised for 2018 to increase its small-bump sensitivity, giving your already smooth 27.5+ trail bike a luxurious ride with plentiful traction as you blast over loose trail rubble, dissect rock-strewn descents, and climb up an over root impediments standing in your way. FOX achieves this greater sensitivity with a new damper tune sporting a reconfigured shim stack, as well as the addition of EVOL technology into the Float air spring. Both of these additions make it more supple and smooth, with less force required to initiate its travel as you ride across bumpy trail surfaces.

It's loaded with the Fit4 damper with 3-position adjust, which gives you the ability to switch between Open, Medium, and Firm setting with the quick flick of a lever. Not only is it incredibly convenient and fast to switch between all three settings, but it's even more adjustable within the Open Mode, where you'll find 22 clicks of low-speed compression tuning. And for situations calling for a practical lock-out, the Firm setting comes in handy for gaining rigid efficiency without bouncing up and down with every pedal stroke forward.
