Streamlined for cross-country race domination, the FOX 32 Float 29 120 3Pos-Adj FIT4 Boost Fork (51mm Rake) puts you atop the podium with its lightweight feel and small-bump sensitivity. It's targeted exclusively to cross-country racers and riders with its 32-millimeter stanchions and 120 millimeters of travel, which reduce overall weight compared to bulkier offerings in FOX's line. This particular version of the 32 Float is the top-shelf Factory Series, which lends it the buttery-smooth feel of Kashima-coated stanchions. Another notable feature, the 51-millimeter rake reduces the "dead space" between the steering axis and hub for a nimble handling feel around tight sections of trail. Ultimately, the added rake offsets the slacker geometries inherent to modern 29ers, which often have a sluggish steering feel at slow speeds.

New for this year, the 32's Float air spring gets the welcome addition of FOX EVOL technology, which stands for extra negative air spring volume. Essentially, this technology borrowed from FOX rear shocks makes the fork more supple off-the-top, increasing its small-bump sensitivity when you're riding over roots, rocks, and trail imperfections. As always, the Float air spring retains the ability to add volume spacers for a more progressive ramp-up that prevents bottoming out over large trail obstacles (spacers not included).

This version of the 32 Float improves front wheel stiffness with BOOST axle spacing for precise tracking when you're rallying across the rough stuff. Its Fit4 damper with 3-position adjust gives you on-the-fly adjustments between Open, Medium, and Firm settings. In Open mode, you'll find 22 clicks of low-speed compression tuning for getting its feel just right to the terrain at hand. Furthermore, the Medium setting firms things up without being fully locked, which comes in handy for long climbs and smoother trails. And for times when you need it fully locked out, the Firm setting is great for long fire roads and asphalt road approaches.
