Description

Ranger Cargo Short

Regardless of what the day has in store, the Ranger Cargo Shorts are equipped to handle it. The Ranger Cargo is Fox Racing's do-it-all trail option that's upgraded with increased storage capacity and, for 2018, a more pedal-friendly fit. Despite those changes, it's still built with the features that made its predecessor such a common choice.

The new Ranger Cargo is made with the same midweight stretch fabric, which breathes well and fluidly flexes while pedaling on climbs and throwing whips over hits in the bike park. The detachable liner returns, too, offering a bit more support on longer rides with its EVO chamois easing the effects of trail chatter over a day spent on dirt. Roomy cargo pockets secure your smartphone and energy bars within close reach, allowing you to quickly switch tracks and fuel up after a leg-burning climb, and a zippered pocket keeps the all-important car key safe.

  • Trail shorts with expanded storage for all-day riding
  • Revised RAP fit enhances mobility on ups and downs
  • New external fit adjustment for on-the-fly dialing
  • Removable liner adds a chamois when you want it
  • High-stretch fabric moves with you through rollers
  • Increased storage options boost what you can take

Great Quality shorts. Run slightly small. The chamois is very comfortable. Runs true to size. (Can be cut out). The belt part of the shorts is slightly small but it seems to hold everything in place well. Sturdy and pretty waterproof also

As others have noted, these run about a size too small. I wear a 32 but had to order the 34. The chamois liner is very comfortable and the multiple pockets are useful. Overall, a good pair of shorts and great for the money.

Seem to run a little under size. Belt hook is a little fiddly.

    Love the shorts!

    I've used it several times

Shorts are light, stretchy and perfect for mountain biking. The hook/loop closure takes getting used to but not big deal. Love the shorts. These are my 3rd pair of different models of the fox racing shorts. I usually only get them when they are on sale - also nice that they come with the padded liners.

    Excellent Shorts

    Familiarity:
    I've used it several times
    Fit:
    True to size

Never worn FOX shorts for trail riding. These shorts are very comfortable and stretch/flex while trail riding. The chamois fit well and love that they can be removed. The hook belt thing in the front is a bit tricky to unhook. Overall, these are great shorts for the trails.

    Solid shorts

    Familiarity:
    I've used it several times

Comfortable, fit well to allow plenty of movement but aren't baggy (I'm 6'2", 170). Chamois is comfortable and not too bulky. I don't really notice the shorts while I'm riding, which I think is a positive. Seem well made like they will withstand a crash, but no first hand experience (yet). Nitpicking, the belt closure is a little difficult to get on and off and the lack of a zipper or button fly is strange. Overall, these are great shorts and I don't think you can go wrong with them.

    Good quality shorts

I bought these for my husband and he loves them. I thought I'd get a different color than black since that's all he has in biking shorts, and he was pumped. After the first muddy ride though, they had some spots that didn't come out in the wash. He didn't seem concerned and still loves to wear them, hence the 4 stars and not 5. Not sure if the fabric is funky or whatever he was riding in was funky!

Great shorts. Ride well, look good.

I like these Fox Ranger Cargo shorts. The fit is correct. The length is just over the knee, it does not interfere with my knee pads and they look good off the bike. The hand pockets seem a little high but that just means my gloves won't fall out when I'm not wearing them. The single left side cargo pocket has an envelope style flap, sort of like an old school sandwich bag. Until so far my sunglasses have not fallen out yet. However, since it is located rearward of the mid-line, when you fall on that side, you land on the pocket (read: broke my sunglasses). I highly recommend these for the rider that wants an overshot that is not too baggy.
