Almost perfect

For a MTB specific waterproof jacket the Ranger almost nails it. The fit is perfect, not baggy but not restrictive. The pockets double as vents which is nice unless you have something in them, pit zip vents would be a nice addition. The jacket can definitely get hot even in milder temps, it's great for cold weather but above 45" gets clammy. The hood fits great over a helmet but it's way too big to use without one. More adjustments would be another nice addition and would make the jacket way more versatile as an everyday rain shell. All that said if you're after a jacket you'll only use on the bike or for another activity with a helmet (rock climbing, etc) this one is great. Not the cheapest option but definitely not the most expensive. Personally for $200 I'd like it to be a little more versatile.
