Description

Always land on two wheels.

Fox Racing's Lynx Women's Shorts won't make sure you always land right-side up, feline style, but they will definitely help you get your claws into serious riding. They're built from stretchy, tough, and breathable TRUMOTION fabric that blends polyester and spandex for plenty of mobility, breathability, and durability. The shorts' athletic fit won't interfere with your pedaling, and the killer style will keep you looking like a million bucks when you're crushing the trail. An internal adjustable waistband helps you nail the fit, and the removable mesh liner features a women-specific PRO chamois for optional comfort on all types of rides.

Good fit but no pockets = return

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I really like the fit of these - more so than the more expensive YETI shorts without chamois that I'm keeping - but I'm bummed that there are no pockets except for the tiny credit card one on the bum. That means they go back! I'm 5'3" and wear a 26/27 pant (sorry I don't know my weight) and the M fits without the chamois being too snug or the shorts being huge. There's room in the waist of the shorts but I think it would work out perfectly on bike. I also agree that the fabric, esp that on the back, is really thin and would tear easily. I was also a little bummed to find that the pink on the plum colorway is HOT PINK and not coral like i thought based on the photo.

Strange Fit

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These are my initial impressions after trying them on and wearing around the house for a couple hours. I agree with some of the other comments below...inner liner fit is really snug and compression-y in the wrong spots (thighs and waist). Otherwise it's super comfy and feels like it'll provide a lot of cushion in the saddle. Outer shorts run much larger than the liner and are quite large and baggy. But they're made of a very comfortable, lightweight, and stretchy material. Can't decide if I'm going to keep them or not. I bought them in plum. Love the color and style. The pink is brighter/more neon than it appears in the photo. I'm 5'6, 135-140 lb, and typically wear a 4-6 pant size.

You gave your measurements but not what size you ordered :)

Love these!

I rarely write reviews but thought it may be helpful to others, as I had a tough time deciding on these based on limited reviews. I am 5’4”, 123 pounds, athletic build, with slim waste. I originally ordered these in Medium and while the liner fit ok, the shorts themselves where huge - wouldn’t even stay on. A year later, I decided to give them another try in a size Small this time, and they fit PERFECT! Liner is comfortable, The outer shorts stop right above the knee and are a flattering cut. The material is super light weight which is great on hot days and helps with mobility. Not sure if they would hold up in a big wreck. I have both the yellow and plum and love the vibrant colors!

    Runs large

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I typically ware LG women's MTB clothing. However, these shorts in a Women's Large were very large. They would fit someone who wares a WM's size 10-12 pant/short.

I am eager to get the size MED as they were made of starchy material and the inner padded short looked comfortable.

Tricky To Get The Fit Right

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The Material on the outer shorts is really stretchy and thin and comfortable. The liners are not super flattering and compression-y in all areas so they are kinda unflattering. The large liners fit my curves and thigh circumference, but the large outer shorts are too big for my waist so these don't work as great as they could for me because I would need a large liner and a medium outer short to have a perfect fit.

    Cute but no protection

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

After a pretty bad bike fall on an enduro single track, where my spandex leggings (along with my skin) tore to shreds I purchased these in hopes that they would offer more protection to my skin in case it ever happened again. I was thrilled with how well they fit ( I usually wear a medium but bought large so there would be extra room), how cute they were, and especially how comfortable the padding inside made my bike seat feel. Unfortunately on my day of riding, I made a mistake with my clip in pedals and took a very mild fall onto some gravel. These shorts tore like tissue paper through BOTH layers. I returned them and will continue to search for a pair of shorts that can hold up under pressure.

what is the inseam on these shorts

Not a great fit - not as good as others

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Size Bought: medium

Too tight waist band; fitted biking shorts do not fit well (too small) with the exterior short (too large). Not happy at all, and I'm not that picky.

    Great shorts!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: small

Typically a small and small fits well. Chamois is TOO comfortable, one of my favorites. Shorts are not too long (come to the tops of my knees) while still fitting close to the body and are light and breathable. I don't mind the lack of side pockets, they have a pocket at the back and personally I use my hydration pack to hold anything I need.

    Great MTB shorts

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

After trying lots of different mountain biking shorts, my wife finally found and loves these... She says the chamois liner provides the right padding, and she likes the material of the outer shorts because it is light, breathable, and a little bit stretchy. She also likes how the shorts are longer (they fall just above her knee) but aren't crazy wide or baggy. The only downside is that these shorts are missing much-needed side pockets.

    Lady Shredder Approved

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Small

I picked these shorts up for my wife. Here is her feedback:

Comfortable shorts that fit true-to-size, removable chamois has enough padding without feeling bulky and stays in place. They have an athletic fit that allows movement, material is light and breathable and has held up well a couple rides in this season. I do love these shorts, but if I could change one thing I would add more pockets as there is only the one small zippered back pocket.
