Always land on two wheels.

Fox Racing's Lynx Women's Shorts won't make sure you always land right-side up, feline style, but they will definitely help you get your claws into serious riding. They're built from stretchy, tough, and breathable Q4 fabric that's made specifically for Fox's riding shorts.

By blending polyester and spandex, Fox ensured that Q4 provides plenty of mobility, breathability, and durability (all the -ilitys, really), so the Lynx is ready for XC, trail, and Enduro riding. The shorts' athletic fit won't interfere with your pedaling, and the killer style will keep you looking like a million bucks when you're crushing the trail. An internal adjustable waistband helps you nail a killer fit, and the removable mesh liner has a women's-specific Bikepad chamois for optional comfort on all types of rides.

LOVE these!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

I got these in hopes that they were actually baggy enough for athletically curvy legs. Like with many other ladies' MTB shorts, I kept my expectations low, but these are actually baggy even with my tree trunk thighs! The material is super soft and breathable, and the chamois feels better than others that I've spend $80+ on. The overall fit is baggy, and they are a little bit loose in the waist, but that's totally okay once I'm hunched over on my bike, and I never feel like they're falling off. I went up a size from what I normally get, and they feel great. My only complaint is that they need more pockets than the single back pocket that can only fit a multi-tool or phone, but not both.

Big in waist

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XL

Tight on my thighs and big in my waist but all other bike shorts are like suffocating my thighs. I normally wear a 6 or 8 "curvy" in jeans and these fit my thighs... The waist bunches a bit after I get it tight enough. Overall - decent buy for the price! Not going to be wearing them "out on the town" by any means. :)

Comfortable lightweight shorts

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

These shorts are super lightweight and comfortable, but have a serious shortage of pockets. There's one zipup pocket on your lower back for keys, but that's it. The chamois is comfortable and breathable. As others have mentioned, the fit is a little awkward. If I try to wear these without the chamois as a casual short they have a weird baggy in the crotch thing going on.

Odd Fit

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Size Bought: Medium

Got these for my girlfriend. She agrees with the other reviewers that it is an odd fit (not as bad the ripley's though). The legs taper in but the material is stretchy so it makes it a little more feasible; waist circumference is as expected. The pattern is rad and the material is neat, too. The removable liner is a nice touch making the purchase worth it a little more and bumping the rating to a 4-starer.

Odd fit..

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

My wife returned these because she said the waist was too big and they were "poofy" around the hips, but then also tapered and too tight on the thighs.

Loving these shorts!

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: M

First pair of biking shorts I've owed, and they fit great! Good length right above the kneecap, and the removable chamois is comfortable and not too tight which is difficult for to find in a liner. Only complaint is that there is only 1 small back pocket.. There needs to be more. Overall though, great purchase!

Loved them so much I bought a 2nd pair!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

I bought these in the Heather black colorway last summer and loved them! This year when I went to buy a new pair of shorts nothing new was making the cut. So after a few tries I reverted back to these in a different color, the Heather Grey. The're perfect, I love the stretch and the chamois that come with these are my savior for longer rides! Grab a pair while we still have them, you wont be disappointed!

For sizing reference, I am 5'4'' with an athletic build, weigh about 130 and wear a size Small in these. They aren't too long and sit right above my knee caps.

Weird fit...

Everything other than the fit on these shorts is great. I got 2 different pairs (Small and Medium) and both have this weird pulling going on between the front of the hip bones to the top of the inner thighs. Is no one else experiencing this? I have never experienced this on any other short - MTB short or any other short in general. So, basically, there's this weird gathering of fabric that creases around my vag area and tugs around my thighs. I have normal proportions. I'm wearing the mediums in the photo, which may lead you to believe they're too big in the front area, but the smalls did this same thing. Very unflattering.

    Love them!

Ive only used these twice so far, but I love them! Im not the biggest fan of super baggy and long shorts, so these are perfect for me. They hit a few inches above my knee and are slim fitting. Very comfortable on (& off) the bike, moved great with my body. And the chamois! The chamois! First, kudos to Fox for making women's shorts with a liner. And second this a super comfy chamois to top it off. I've struggled to find a chamois I like as much as the Pearl Izumi ones, but this one is great!

the chamois was my main reason for keeping these out of the 3 pairs i tried. padding is great, leg/waist bands fit awesome and don't give me sausage legs. the over shorts fit OK not tight but rather tapered at the bottom of the legs, not big and loose. the pattern is really subtle (i got the dark ones) it would be nice if more of the shorts offered came with this good of a chamois, or even offer the option of a chamois at all. there is not enough out there for very tall women but Fox nailed it

    Pretty great

Bought these shorts because they were one of the few women's MTB shorts that come with a chamois. I agree with some of the other reviews that they are oddly tight around the legs but the stretchy material allows for plenty of movement when you're on the bike and the rest of the short fits perfectly. And I've actually grown to love the more tailored look and feel. The liner is amazing and super comfy with a great, no-ride fit. I love the color (which is much darker than pictured above) for hiding dirt and stains that are inevitable after a couple uses in the mud or CO dust.

    Skeptical at first

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: medium

I didn't love these the first time I put them on as I thought the shorts were oddly tight on my thighs and almost returned them. I decided not to because the chamois felt really nice and I was not wrong! Definitely my favorite liner and the shorts are great on the bike with plenty of flex in the material to make up for the tighter fit. If you've got larger quads though these might not be the shorts for you.

    Horrible Fit - Great liner

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: small

Best liner I have ridden in. The shorts fit horribly. The seat is to big and the leg openings are to tight.

    SO worth it!

These shorts are amazing! The material has a nice stretch to it, and the liners that come with are my favorite pair of chamois, they're so comfortable compared to others I've used. The Heather Black colorway is darker than it looks in the image, which I'm stoked on! I was skeptical because of the price but you get the liner shorts which most women's baggies don't include(plus these ones are AWESOME). Well worth the price and I'll be picking up another pair! They're lightweight too so you don't feel bogged down when you're riding. They've also got a flattering fit which is a plus!

    SO worth it!
