All over.

The Attack Men's Shorts might be Fox Racing's most popular piece of trail gear. That's because, when Fox classifies them as "all-mountain," it means all over the mountain. Their abrasion-resistance and four-way stretch mean they're as capable powering a wagon wheel hardtail up a climb as they are atop a six-inch enduro sled on the way down.

Thought they forgo the welded construction of more expensive Attack Pro model, the standard Attacks feature the same saddle-specific silhouette and laser-cut ventilation. They've also got a removable liner equipped with Fox's Comp chamois, so they transition easily from chamois-free shuttle laps to helping you endure through long, XC days on the singletrack.

  • Fox Racing's all-purpose trail shorts
  • Built to accommodate an aggressive position in the saddle
  • Removable liner with chamois for XC comfort
  • Four-way stretch material enables pedaling and body English
  • Ratcheting waist buckle keeps the fit on-point
  • Ventilated to facilitate air flow on long, exposed climbs
  • Low profile pockets secure goods without grabbing trailside brush

Awesome Shorts, Chamois is a great plus!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 38

These are my first pair of mountain bike shorts, they are awesome and I almost returned them!!! I didnt like the fit while trying them on cause they seemed baggy, I compared them to my normal every day shorts and they were about the same size so I was confused. It wasnt until I tried them out on the trails that they came alive, the fit and feel was perfect!! It was then I realized theyre called Attack Shorts for a reason, theyre meant to feel comfortable while riding, on the attack!!!

About the chamois, Id never tried one and my first thought was “like that small padding can make a difference,” well, on 3 hour race it sure did, it was like if it wasnt even there except for the fact that I wasn’t sore at all. I highly recommend it!!!

These things fit well and are very comfortable right out of the box. I was a little concerned at first when I saw that they didn't have a fly zipper and the only closure was the ratcheting buckle on the waist but it turned out to be a non-issue. In fact, I think it actually leads to the terrific unrestricted feel of the shorts. I'm typically not a fan of having a chamois because they feel super awkward the moment you're not on a bike but this one is actually quite comfortable and I tend to forget that it's there at all.

More important than how they felt in my bedroom is how they felt on the bike. In a word, they're great. They breathe very well and the fabric glides over your knees without any irritation or grabbing. The zippered pockets comfortably hold my phone and wallet for the short rides where I don't want to bring a backpack. The chamois definitely ups the comfort level but it's also the source of my one complaint. When the description said that the chamois was removable I thought was going to be a button-in set up like Endura does but it turns out that it's held in place by two sewn-in straps on either hip. In order to remove the chamois, you must cut the straps with scissors making it permanently into two separate garments. Additionally, if you decide not to cut it out the chamois tends to get tangled around the straps on in the wash and can be a pain to get back into a usable shape.

Overall, I'm very happy with these and would recommend to just about anyone.

I am a gearhead here at and if you have any questions on these feel free to email me at
