Go all out.

Fox Racing's Attack series has a long history of checking the boxes progressive trail riders demand. In keeping with that tradition, the Attack Q4 Shorts bring high-tech, four-way stretch fabric, a detachable liner, and an interior-adjustable waistband to the trail.

The Q4's polyester and spandex four-way stretch main body won't bind or limit motion, and the high level of breathability means that moisture has plenty of opportunity to move away from your skin before becoming an annoyance. Just as important to riding comfort are the Attack Q4's removable liner and Evo chamois. Constructed from a spandex and polyester blend, the liner adds support to fight muscle fatigue, and the multi-panel design of the chamois provides a natural fit and feel with just the right amount of padding.

The shorts are constructed with flat-lock seams throughout to reduce the chance of chafing. Throw in several zippered pockets and an internally adjustable waistband, and the Attack Q4 will take care of you from the first pedal stroke to the last berm.

Change is fine with me

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I have the older gen of this short with the zipper and baggier fit, I love those shorts. These aren't as baggie, which I kind of like, the material is light and breathable and dries fast and has plenty of give to it and I like that too. The lack of a zipper is a little bit of a bummer, but really doesn't make me dislike the short. I have ridden with the included liner once or twice and it seams fine, but I prefer bib shorts, so I usually wear a bib under these baggies. At the end of the day I would buy these again. They are a solid well made short.

Good shorts, but where's the liner?

I ordered these shorts with the anticipation that they included the Evo chamois liner, but they arrived without the liner. The description says it includes the liner in multiple places so I am really confused. I called support and they said they'd get back to me but never did. I'd like to give these 5 stars, but I'm having a hard time doing so. Please help!

    on the fence about them

i like them, but i don't like them...
i have an older pair (5+yr) and those are baggier, have a front zipper and have the ventilation mesh on both the inside and outside of the legs. vs. these new attacks that are slimmer fitting and only have the breathable mesh on the inside leg.
and the new ones seem larger in size to me. i normally wear a 32, but these 32 were huge on me and i had to exchange for 30's which fit better in waist for me but then the chamois was unbelievable tight.
kinda disappointed in the purchase to be honest

    Awesome shorts!

Have two pairs and want more. They are very breathable and fit great. Seems true to size. Definitely recommend these.

Right on Ethan!! Stoked you're diggin' the shorts!!

    So far so good.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large / 34"

Bought size L/34, fit true to size (had to cinch the inside belt straps a bit as I'm right around 33" waist).

The outers feel weightless, breathable, and have a light stretch. They are not clingy or staticy like some more stretchy shorts, and don't have the heavy stiffness of the Zoic Ether shorts I've used the last 5 years or so. Fox' chamois insert feels far, far superior to the Ether's as well, on par with my upper-end Pearl Izumi road shorts.

So far, the pockets do a reasonable job of keeping a phone stable without it flapping around.

The Attack's have to be my favorite pair of biking shorts in my arsenal of biking gear.

These shorts are extremely breathable and fit very well. The zipper pockets are pretty crucial if you plan on keeping your phone, gels or anything else safe. I have owned my shorts for about 2.5 years and have withstood the test of time, along with a few gnarly spills.

Get your bottom into these and you'll never want to take them off.

    The Necessary Upgrade

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

Purchased these as a gift, he'd been wearing some cotton/poly cargo-esque shorts from a few years ago, those quickly went to the weekend grubby clothes pile. The new shorts have been fully adopted into the biking rotation. 15 miles on the trail, pull out the chamois, couple of hours in the car, wash the bikes, a bit of grilling, cervezas, and he's still wearing the shorts. He wears a 31/32, and the 32 is perfect, he's also pretty slim. I am impressed by the fabric and construction, ultralight weight with smooth seams. The chamois looks all time, good coverage, good length and thickness around the bottom band will keep the shorts from moving. The shorts are to be lived in. The mesh insert only increases the breath-ability of these highly breathable shorts. There's great stretch for peddling, good length to keep that white thigh hidden and the fabric seems fairly abrasion resistant. Get two pairs.
