Throw saddle discomfort a Kurve Bull.
In Fizik's estimation, a bull cyclist rides with his or her pelvis tilted forward more and doesn't move around much in the saddle. These riders benefit from a larger, deeper saddle pocket underneath their relatively stationery sit bones during long grinds on the open road. With a carbon fiber Mobius Rail and Re:Flex shell, few saddles maximize on this design philosophy as well as the Kurve Bull Saddle.
Instead of relying on padding — which can degrade over time and is really only treating the symptoms of saddle discomfort — Fizik looks to imbue the saddle's actual form with elements of comfort. The Kurve's composite ReFlex shell incorporates Kevlar in order to behave like a sensory receptor, mirroring your movements as you ride to offer support while conforming to your body.
The Kurve Bull Saddle also features Fizik's new Tuner insert, an interchangeable nosepiece that allows you to customize the flex of the saddle. By installing the more flexible nosepiece for a softer, gentler ride or the rigid piece for more stiffness and less flex, you can fine-tune the saddle's properties for comfort or efficiency.
The Kurve's Mobius Rail is a one-piece circular rail system constructed of braided carbon. Rather than supporting the saddle along its sides, it places the support along the back edge. The rail also flattens at the clamping points, which provides lighter weight with the same strength and a bit more compliance. This lets the Kurve's Reflex body provide even more comfortable compliance. The inclusion of carbon instead of Kium alloy nets an impressive 70 grams of claimed weight savings.
