Making modular more modular.
While the Fix It Sticks Original modular multi-tool has fixed bits, the Fix It Sticks Replaceable Edition Tool allows you to swap out its eight interchangeable bits as you see necessary. You still get the same ingenious, reconfigurable T-handle design as the Original, only now, you can make it more original.

Best stocking stuffer ever
This is probably the easiest thing to gift to a cyclist, there aren't any cyclists (that don't already own a set), that wouldn't mind some Fix It Sticks. I do have to be honest, though. In use, it sometimes isn't the best form factor to quickly tighten and loosen bolts. But a very compact option. If you choose to carry the case and all the extra bits with you it becomes a little large, but if you just keep it to the two sticks and four bits, it's quite packable.
Good design; a little heavy
The tool is a little heavier than I imagined. It weighs 118 grams (or over a quarter pound), so its definitely not for the weight weenie. On the other hand, I think its design makes it more usable and provides better leverage than other multi-tool designs. I also like the flexibility to switch out the bits I take along on a trip.
Best innovative tool available
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I love the idea behind these tools. Everything a basic multi tool has but in a much more useful form. Every time I use my tri wrenches I find myself needing to get into spaces that I can't and every time I use regular hex wrenches I wish I had better torque. Perfect solution.
Shop quality repair tool
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
These are the best tools, In the most limited space, you can carry a maximum tool set but it's only limited by the bits that you can find. It's a solid tool that will do solid work on your bike and can be carried in limited space in your jersey or pack.
