Trailcross LT Cycling Shoe

Taking a sharp turn from the overbuilt mountain bike shoes Five Ten is known for, the Trailcross LT is built more like a trail running shoe with its minimalist, low-profile design. The idea is to have a shoe that performs well on the bike, but won't hold you back when you're hiking or just chilling at camp. Something that works well for scrambling up rocky portages with your bike on your back, bikepacking along an unfamiliar route, or building your own trails deep in the forest.

The recipe starts with a lightweight mesh upper that breathes well on hot days and dries quickly after a stream crossing, but still offers protection for your heel, ankle, and toes when you're riding and hiking through rocks. Of course, Five Ten sticks with their esteemed stealth rubber on the sole, providing unmatched grip on the pedals so you can charge the trails with confidence.

  • Lightweight flat pedal shoes for adventurous trail riding
  • Hiking-friendly construction works well on or off the bike
  • Stealth rubber sole grips the pedals with confidence
  • Breathable mesh upper stays cool and dries quickly
  • Reinforced toe and heel protect against rock strikes
  • Raised ankle collar for added protection
  • EVA midsole provides cushioning and support

If you like adventuring on long hike n bike trips, scoping for the best big mountain lines. This is the shoe youre looking for! Its so versatile and comfortable, it bends on its toes in order to let you hike and push your bike uphill. And once you start the descend the stealth rubber sole sticks to your flat pedals perfectly, plius asorbing lots of shock to your legs. After riding you forget youre wearing bike shoes, and you can stay wearing all day + all noght Great piece of equipment! PD Buy half a size smaller. Sizing isnt the best, my 9" are quite big.

Great MTB/Hiking Shoe

These shoes are extremely comfortable and versitile. I was in Washington State for a week, I rode four days and hiked three days with these shoes and they far out-performed my expectations. Cool, comforatable with sticky rubber that adheres to your pedals. Pricey, but worth it...I rarely say that. Note, sizing is true to size, but there is a little more room (width) in the toe box than your typical active shoe. Not an issue, just unexpected, your toes have room to spread out.

120 miles in and I can't say enough good things about these shoes. I've ridden a variety of trails testing these things from fast and flow to steep climbs, double black alpine chunky rock, even about 2 miles of loose impossible to ride hike a bike and a river crossing. The sole is substantially stiffer than a freerider in the mid section. They have the perfect amount of flex in the toe box and much better protection than the standard freerider. They are noticeably lighter weight and breathe very well. They dry fast after submerging in water and the insole does not absorb water. Shock reduction from the sole is another big improvement, after 7 steep miles of baby heads and roots my feet were not complaining where they would have been on my freeriders long before the end. The laces are much shorter and thinner with a better bite than those of the freerider as well, the handy elastic on the tongue of the shoe is also very handy for tucking them away. On the sizing note they are at least a half to full size larger than other five tens, yet accurate to size of most other shoes I own. They are a tighter, more narrow fit and overall just more refined. The traction on the toe and heel work amazingly well, huge difference when hiking on the steepest loosest terrain. Obviously the stealth rubber has always been great for sticking to the pedals, but this really elevates the overall performance. Only two complaints on my end. The ankle area is really stiff and cuts into my ankle bones a little bit, nothing major and is getting better as they break in, still worth mentioning. Lastly the mesh design is a bit difficult to clean the moon dust out of. I would buy this shoe again in an instant and highly recommend it.

Great, but soles have worn pretty fast

On the bike they are awesome- Stiff, great grip paired with Oneup composite pedals, comfortable, broken in after just a few rides. Pretty good for off the bike pushing up loose sketchy stuff. Rubber on the soles has worn out pretty quick but between combination of new pedals and riding a lot guess thats just what happens I'd order a half size down compared to Freeriders, they run a little big!

Admittedly, when I ordered these I thought they had a clipless option but no they are 100% flat pedal shoes, lol. I was going to return for that reason but decided to swap out my clipless pedals and install a pair of flats I had, and wow these things grip great!!! They have the perfect feel and look pretty sweet. To me the sizing is spot on.

When will you have size 10 mens available in the grey?
