Who clips in these days?

Some like to attract attention with their personal stylings, and for them, there's the Blue Zebra. However, if you like to let your riding tell your tale, then the Five Ten Freerider Shoe in black/grey will do the trick. The understated colors will help you keep a low profile, that is, until you tailwhip over the big double at your local dirt jump spot and stick the pedals for a perfect landing.

Five Ten's Stealth Rubber was developed for rock climbing shoes. As such, it has excellent gription which makes it super easy to keep your feet on the pedals. Just think, no shinburger for dinner... again. It's also super durable. It had to be tough for climbing shoes to suffer the wear and tear from hard granite cliffs for days on end. The Freerider Shoes may just have a tougher job. They have to endure the prodding from the metal spikes on your pedals all day, but the Stealth Rubber can take it. Five Ten Stealth Rubber soles will outlast the gum rubber sole on a conventional skate shoe every time and stick better to your pedals all the while.

The Freerider Shoe has all the style that you want and the bomber sole that you need to land big tricks without blowing your feet. The grey panels on the upper are made of brushed nubuck leather. The toe box is reinforced to provide added protection if you lose it in mid-air. And one of the coolest details is the California license plate on the back of the heel.

The Five Ten Freerider Shoe is available in Black/Grey, Red/Black, Red/Grey, and Orange/Grey and comes in half sizes from 4 - 12  and whole sizes 13 and 14.

Five 10 - awesome shoes

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are really the bomb for mountain biking.

Great shoes may even buy

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Great shoes. I am even considering a second pair. They are seriously comfortable, and what I like about them is you can keep them tied and they are easy to slip on, but tight to your feet. They help stick to the pedals of your bike and are great for riding, but I also wear them when lifting weights at the Y or just casually. I am probably going to buy a second, higher end pair of your brand of shoes, I am pretty impressed. For 100 bucks these shoes are a steal. And I normally wear 9.5s to 10s and I bought 10s, and they fit perfectly. So I would probably buy the larger end of shoe size you usually wear. Thanks for the great product!

Changing the game

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I recently purchased the shoes due to the outstanding reviews and positive feedback from peers on them. After one ride in them, I can already see why. The comfort of the shoe, along with the stability makes them fantastic on any ride!

Best Flat Pedal Shoe!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This shoe is grippy, strong and comfortable. They last longer than skate shoes. They do not have the flex that skate shoes do.

Flat Pedal Friendly

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small

If not the best, definitely this is the shoe that most mtb riders recommend when you are riding on flat pedals. The sole digs in to your pedal pins like having a clip on your shoes when you step on your pedal yet do not have to twist or snap your foot to step out from the pedal. I am a regular 9 and based on the number of reviews, I ordered size 9.5 and fits me perfect with enough room on the toes.

Nice shoes

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Have about 250 miles on these shoes so far. Great shoe , very pleased with the product. Seems to be a very durable shoe , πŸ‘πŸ‘

five ten for life!!!!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

use them all the time!!!!

Makes a Huge Difference

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I got these for my husband because he rides mountain bikes in skate shoes. He was very skeptical that mountain biking shoes would make a difference, but he admitted that these definitely do. The grippy bottom makes it feel like you are clipped in and secure on the flat pedals. They fit him true to size.

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I got for casual rides, once I put them on I notices that they weren't going to work for me. Super nice looking not what I was looking for.

Awesome MTB Shoe!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I am newer to flat pedal and needed some grippy rubber to help give me a confidence boost. These shoes did the trick! Not only are they grippy, but they have a super solid feel when riding too!

My Everyday Shoe

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 9.0

It's no secret there is no better shoe for flat pedal riding. A perfect interface with the stealth sole your feet will stay planted regardless of terrain. That's pretty common knowledge in the mountain bike world but what's most impressive is these have become my everyday shoe. I've got 3 pair! They are stylish, confortable, and up to the task of an impromptu DJ session after work.

Great Gift

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I bought these for my dad. I'm not a mountain biker so I don't know much but he loves these! He wanted them because he said all of his friends have them, so they must be pretty good!

Super grippy and good protection

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is my first MTB Flat shoe (I always used clipless) and I love them. This stick like glue to my RaceFace Chesters. They are bit chuncky and heavy, but that has been a plus here in Arizona's rocky trails. Bashed my feet several times and these shoes protected me far better than anything I have used before. Sizing was spot on.

Fresh pair of Freeriders!!!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is my second pair for Freeriders and I really love these shoes. If you have a quality pair of flat pedals then these things are going to hook up and stay on the pedals. I use the Race Face Atlas pedals and these shoes literally get stuck on them to where i can't move my foot around on the pedal. I absolutely love them.

my first pair of mountain bike shoes

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Love them so far! I can really tell a difference with the stiff sole compared to other shoes I have been wearing. Im relatively new to mountain biking but could tell a difference immediately on my first ride out with these. They are a good hiking shoe too if you need to walk a section or get around a puddle. I normally wear an 11 or an 11.5 in my other shoes and I went with the 11.5 in these and they fit perfect.

Such a difference

  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 11.5

I had never used shoes that were specifically designed for mtb, but I noticed the difference between these and my usual tennis shoes right away. They stick well and are shaped for the pedal. Not to mention the reinforced toe and they actually look cool enough to wear out after the ride if need be.
