Vento X3 Overcurve Cycling Shoe
Built to hit up the singletrack, cross course, or gravel road in style and comfort comes the Vento X3 Overcurve Shoe from Fi'zi:k. Just as we've experienced from other shoes in its lineup, the Vento is designed to fit your foot precisely and comfortably while offering protection and transferring all of your watts into the pedals whether that's hot laps after work or on race day. Using its new Overcurve construction, the shoe features a staggered foot opening that ergonomically contours around the foot, taking the natural misalignment of the ankle’s two bony protrusions, the lateral and medial malleoli, into account. The end result is an asymmetrical shape that’s quite comfortable and secures the foot for excellent pedaling.
The upper consists of the typical Microtex microfiber material that we're used to seeing from Fi'zi:k. It's super supple for a superb fit and comfortable pedaling yet durable and abrasion resistant for long life. Instead of using stitching that can lead to weak points and tears, the Vento Overcurve X3 is constructed using welding and laminated reinforcements. This not only makes the shoe lighter, more durable, and easier to clean, it helps improve the fit and reduces potential points that can lead to excessive friction, abrasion, and irritation.
Cinching down that upper on your feet is a simple and secure micro-adjustable BOA IP1 dial. Getting into and out of the shoes is a simple affair as is making quick adjustments on the fly. Down below is the X3 carbon injected sole. This stiff platform is minimal, saving weight, and rigid for efficient power transfer. When the time comes to dismount for a hike-a-bike or hurdling the barriers, a durable TPU outsole with an aggressive tread pattern grips tenaciously on terra firma and sheds mud easily.
- A durable, race-worthy offroad shoe from Fizik
- Microtex upper conforms to your foot yet is highly durable
- Boa dial closure system quickly and easily locks in your fit
- Overcurve construction contours the opening to your ankle anatomy
- Injected carbon outsole with TPU tread offers grip off the bike and power while clipped in

Perfect for gravel and road
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Fit:
- True to size
- Size Bought
- 43
- Height
- 5` 7"
- Weight
- 170 lbs
I use this for my road bike and gravel bike and have been very happy with the shoe. I did add my own inserts but otherwise the combination of the shoe and the Shimano XTR pedals has been fantastic. I cycle for fun, so it's great to be able to clip in on both sides and be able to walk in the shoe. I didn't try any other gravel specific shoes so I feel like I lucked out with my first choice. I highly recommend this shoe!

Good Fizik Fit
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit:
- Runs small
- Size Bought
- 46
- Height

- Weight
- 185 lbs
If you know your Fizik fit then this shoe will fit similarly. I have a 280 mm length foot with width varying at around 110 mm so slightly wide and the 46 fits comparable to my street shoe of 11.5. If you have narrower feet you probably could size according to their chart. If your feet run slightly on the wider side then you will want to go with your "euro" street shoe size. These shoes have a good forefoot platform with a lot of room for the toes to stretch and the nice heel fit typical of other Fiziks and while the single Boa seems somewhat limiting it was easy enough to get a good fit right out of the box. The sole isn't quite as stiff as a pure carbon sole so this might be better as a training/rec. level shoe. If you're looking for maximum stiffness this probably won't cut it for you but for an everyday shoe that's easy to put on, take off, and keep clean this seems like a winner.

Too Narrow!
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
The shoes are very well made, but the design really lacks! I have narrow feet but still had trouble with the fit being too narrow. There would be no way I could use the shoes with heavy wool socks for winter riding. Only the thinnest of socks will fit. The tongue doesn’t open up which adds to the difficulty of putting a foot in.

Slick Rick
I bought these for my wife to use in her cycling classes and as she starts to ride a bike. Overall, she's very satisfied. They fit to size if you're going of Euro measurements, the US sizing put her at half to full size smaller than what she typically wears. She says these are extremely comfortable, likes the BOA lacing and likes the way they look.

I'm pretty sure you picked the wrong size. I have this shoe and it fits the same as my other pair of Fizik road shoes. In my experience the sizing conversion for Fizik tends to run small. For example, I am a street shoe of 11.5 and wear a 46 which Fizik calls a 12 while others will call it 11.5 or 11.75. My experience is that Fizik tends to be slightly wider than other brands with good heel fit and a lot of room in the toebox to stretch your toes out. I have a slightly wide foot for the length and if I had chosen to size down from my street shoe the fit would have been narrow but I would not recommend that for this shoe.
