I'm a little confused on saddle width. 7 years ago I was measured (with a foam pad) for saddle width and it recommended 143. Six months ago measured again with a digital pressure devise and it came to a 130 (same bike shop, Specialized). I had been getting sores and tried the Power Expert 130 well the condition did not change. So I decided to look more the ARGO TEMPO R1 SADDLE only comes in 150 or 160 I need a saddle that will stop the nagging saddle issues. Is saddle width that important? I'm 148lbs 5'7" and ride 9500-10500 miles/year with 500,000' of elevation gain. Position is mostly on the hoods or top of bars. The contact problem is always in the same area and seems to be aggravated when the chamois bunches up and begins to rub (multiple different brand bib shorts) I'm assuming the the Power Expert may be best if you are riding mostly in the drops? The bike fit I had is about 5 years old. Help!
