R1 Infinito Knit Cycling Shoe

The Fi'z:k R1 Infinito Knit Shoe is ahead of its time, and by that we mean its advanced technology is helping you beating your last PR. The R1 features a Full UD Carbon sole that offers rigidity and power transfer in a lightweight, durable package. The knit upper molds to your foot far better than traditional construction, and is perforated for plenty of breatahbility. Comfort features include the Dynamic Arch Support design that provides structure and support and the Increased Volume Control System which shapes the upper around your foot, leaving you free to focus on pedaling hard. The Double Infinito closure system features steel-coated nylon cables that wrap your foot in an infinite style, and uses textile guides to eliminate pressure points. Two Boa dials per shoe adjust the upper- and mid-foot for a customized fit, and have micro-adjustments for precision. Underfoot, an Infinito footbed provides airflow with mesh that comforts and cools simultaneously.
  • Extremely lightweight, rigid shoes with a comfortable knit

A Phenomenal Pair of Shoes!

I've used it several times
Runs large
Size Bought
6` 1"

These shoes were an upgrade from my previous cycling shoes, the Specialized Torch 2.0 and what an upgrade they were! The dual BOA and comfort and fit of the Fizik Knit provides an incredible fit. I immediately felt the difference in power transfer from the stiffer carbon and the nice snug fit (without being tight) that the dual BOA provides. Another reviewer strongly recommended going a half size down from what you normally wear as these Fiziks run a little large. I found this to be EXACTLY the right recommendation and would recommend it to you too. Trust me. Go a half size down from what you normally wear in cycling shoes and it should be spot on. For example in my Specialized, I wore a 44. In the Fizik, I ordered a 43.5... perfecto. I know every foot is different, but I couldn't give a higher recommendation to these shoes. Anyone who does a lot of cycling knows that changing shoes is a scary endeavor, because if you get it wrong... you're hurting. Whether these shoes are that great or I just got lucky doesn't matter to me. VERY happy customer here!

for narrow feet only

I was super stoked to finally buy a nice pair of road shoes... and I did my product research. But had to return them as they are they most narrow pair of shoes I've every tried on. Love my saddles from Fizik ... one would think with all their saddle design success, they would have some better product design for their shoes. Im sure they are technically superior for people with ultra narrow feet. Had to return before trying on... sad face.

The R1 Infinito knit shoe has a much stiffer sole and a snugger fit than my 8 year old Loius Garneau shoes. Both shoes are equipped with the Boa closure system, but the R1 sport the lastest version which seem to be more refined and able to be to more fine tined. Even though I have only used the shoes a couple of times, I'm noticing an increase in power through my pedal stoke, it's very evident when climbing out of the saddle. Love the looks of the shoe, looks great with my usual Rapha kit.
