Bike Travel Bag Pro

Anyone who's traveled with their bike has horror stories of scratched frames, lost parts, inattentive baggage handlers, and the general unwieldiness of traveling with a bike. The Evoc Bike Travel Bag Pro solves for most of these common issues, starting with its construction. Evoc found that the levels of protection offered by a hard case versus a soft case was profoundly different until the cases were loaded with heavy items not typically encountered in airline travel, so it opted for a soft case for maneuverability and malleability.

The primary difference between the regular and the Pro bags is the removable wheels, sturdy aluminum handle, and the inclusion of Evoc's Road Bike Adapter, common sense features requested by those who travel with their bikes in all kinds of places, where sometimes a handle is far more important than wheels (think buses in remote areas).

The included Road Bike Adapter is especially useful in those situations, as it adds an additional layer of protection to the fork while better securing the bike. Like the bag's outer fabric, the adapter's face material has been treated with a PU coating to resist water, so it fends off the elements as well as impacts should your bike end up jostling atop one of those buses while it's raining.

To pack the Evoc case, you remove the wheels and loosen and turn the handlebars. Padded straps hold the frame and fork in place, and separate wheel pockets hold the wheels. The Road Bike Adapter straps on like a feedbag, if you decide to use it.

The Bike Travel Bag also features a variety of handles in intelligent locations to make hefting and moving the bag easier, and there are also inline skate wheels for when you're running through the airport to make your flight. The Evoc Bike Travel Case will hold 29ers, TT bikes, road bikes, and cyclocross bikes without batting a proverbial eye, but note that the Road Bike Adapter isn't compatible with Evoc's Road Bike Aluminum Stand.

  • Carries everything from DH bikes and TT bikes with ease
  • Detachable wheels allow for rolling when needed
  • Sturdy aluminum handles easies airport maneuvering
  • PU-coated, water-resistant fabric keeps items inside dry
  • Includes Road Bike Adapter for skinny-tire fork protection

does this bag fit 29" mtb wheels comfortably? i have the standard version of this bag, purchased new in 2014 and i cannot fit my wheels on my new bike in the bag, even though it is advertised as it does. can anyone confirm before i upgrade?

A total joy to use

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought two of these for my partner and I (thinking that after a few trips, they would pay for themselves in saved bike rental costs... but that plan got 2020'd). We just used them for the first time and couldn't be happier. It takes 20 minutes to pack up the bikes, they fit securely, and arrived in perfect shape. It's a million times better/faster/easier than disassembling the bikes, wrapping them in foam, and packing them up in cardboard boxes. The cases glide effortlessly and there are handles everywhere you could possibly want them. The snap-off third wheel is a nice bonus, and removing it before checking the bag in got our bags just under the 50 lb weight limit. So far I couldn't be happier.

Protective & easy to use.

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Packed my Yeti Sb5.5 in this and recently flew from Utah to Hawaii with it. We had 2 connecting flights so plenty of places for things to go wrong. I was nervous about flying my bike to begin with but didn’t really want to sell it or leave it at home. I reassembled it and there was no frame damage or damage to the tires/wheels. The stem was a little crooked and the rear brake lever had moved so it seems like something bumped it pretty hard but there was no visible damage and everything works fine. Packing up the bike was pretty straight forward and didn’t take long at all. Can’t speak for long-term durability but it did it’s job getting my bike here safely so I’m giving it two thumbs up for now 👍🏽👍🏽 Our place in Hawaii is a lot smaller so storing it is going to suck so that’s honestly my only complaint haha but not something I would take a star off for.

Will this bag fit an XL 29er mountain bike?

Maximum wheelbase is 1300mm
