The Basque way.

Evoking the rich colors of the lush hills and striking seaside vistas around the Basque region of Spain, Etxeondo's Entzun Sport Men's Jersey makes a sound investment in training kit for the upcoming season, and one that won't leave you looking like every other Lycra-clad rider you wave to on the roads. The jersey's colors give a nod to Etxeondo's history; founded in the Basque region of Spain, the brand's garments are still produced in the region to this day. Occupying a middle tier in Etxeondo's range of road kit, the Entzun comes complete with the well-crafted fabric that defines Etxeondo apparel, cut in a more training-appropriate silhouette than its top-tier kit.

To achieve that fit, Etxeondo starts with its proprietary Microsystem 1:1 fabric, an almost silky, stretchy synthetic that boasts excellent breathability and an ability to rapidly transfer moisture away from your skin. Etxeondo's founder, Francisco Rodrigo, began his career working in a sublimation factory, and the brand continues to take pride in using high-quality fabrics that function and fit impeccably.

Exteondo keeps the extra details understated on the Entzun, adding an elastic bottom hem in the rear to ensure the jersey stays in place as you move around in the saddle and three rear pockets accented by reflective strips to enhance your visibility to motorists out on the roads. The slim sleeves end in narrow arm bands that fit close to the skin without the need for sticky grippers or tight elastic, and a full-length zipper gives you freedom to adjust ventilation as needed throughout your ride.

  • Spin through summer with clean lines and classic style
  • Proprietary Microsystem fabric feels silky, and stretchy
  • Fabric wicks away sweat and dries quickly
  • Cut with a training-appropriate silhouette
  • Understated details look sharp and timeless
  • Elastic bottom hem keeps jersey secured in place
  • Deep back pockets are hit with reflective accent for low-light visibility

Cool design, inaccurate fit

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

The star rating isn't really applicable since I returned before wearing it so I gave it a 3. This review is primarily to question the sizing chart. First the stats: Male, 5'8", 158lbs, 40" chest. Typically wear a large in Italian brands (Castelli, Santini and others). Ordered the large Etxeondo and tried it on as soon as it arrived. I could tell before even putting it on it was way to small. Zipped it up and that confirmed it. Made me question if perhaps I underestimated my chest size so I measured it again and it was an even 40". The size chart indicates 40"-42" is a Large.

Had to return it ASAP. Too bad because it's got a great style and the quality looks good. Feel a bit mislead and it cost me the return shipping. Or maybe I have a weird body type? Be careful on the sizing if you order this jersey.

Good fit, but weird material

  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

Material feels like latex, it doesn't feel like it breaths as it should.

awesome jersey ...amazing color!

  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: small

First let me say orange color is absolutely stunning, its gorgeous hi-viz madness. I went with a small because i wanted to make sure i had a true 2nd skin fit. That is exactly what I 5'8 138 with 38.5 chest. The medium may have worked but Im happy with the small, its a very stretchy material. The sleeves come almost to the elbow.

Excellent, but quality issues persist

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I love Etxeondo styling, fabric and race cut in general and this jersey is a good example of this brand. I own many of their different bibs and jerseys. Nonetheless, the brand suffers from poor assembly. The stitching comes apart rather quickly, fabric tend to tear and colors may bleed after single wash.

If you can get it at a really low price, its definitely worth it. At full retail or even at small discount, i wouldn't be able to justify the cost. A cycling apparel should last two seasons. Etexeondo may not make though one. I suppose it is intended for high level athletes who may not care for its extremely short life span. If you content to use it just a few times and dispose, this is an excellent product. You will look and feel like a pro.

This Spanish made cycling jersey exudes high quality workmanship and originality. This jersey will turn heads, that is if you have the athletic build to match. Yes, it is form fitting like a glove so if you have muffin tops or a belly bulge you won't wear this. Be warned. This jersey fits me perfectly and i feel like a pro cyclist when I wear it. It is ideal for warm weather cycling and have worn this in 115F Arizona heat and felt super comfortable without itching or salt depositions coming through the fabric. I am 5-8" 152lbs with a 42" chest and a 31" waist. I chose the size XXL and it fits me just perfectly without loose material around the mid section. I thinks the colors of this particular jersey look amazing. I am waiting for more Etxeondo jerseys to go on sale. They are pricey at full cost. But then again cycling is an expensive sport and you get what you pay for things.

great jersey

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XL

I've worn this jersey once, on a 40 mile ride in 80+ degree temps. It was fantastic at keeping me cool and wicking away the sweat. The fabric is very stretchy, and hugs your body, which I like. It also gives you more of the "pro-fit", rather than some baggy jersey number. I also think the sleeves are a little longer than the average jersey. I think I'm gonna love this jersey.

Some reservations, but over all good

I've been a great admirer of Etxeondo kit since I "discovered" it about eight years ago. It's made in-house in Spain and the quality of the carbon mesh jerseys and shorts (no longer available except in bibs for men) has been impeccable. I've put one jersey though at least 200 wash cycles and while the color has faded in the CA sun and the elastic around the waist loosened, the stitching was remained firmly in place.

This particular jersey I've only worn once. However it was a ride yesterday across central Washington's Kittitas Valley and up a US forest road 3,000 feet on a hot day--so therefore it was put through the paces. Be aware that this fabric is very "stretchy" and adheres to your form. I'm 6', 205 lbs and wore an XL. Probably for all their jerseys XXL is more suitable for me but vanity confines me to order XL. Anyway, the plus is that I was never conscious of wearing the jersey--it's like a second skin but it is designed and most suitable for warmer weather riding--which means salt stains will be very visible (and the boldness of the color scheme will make it more apparent) and that might be somewhat off-putting for some--esp. if you want to visit make a lunch stop somewhere mid-ride. The tightness of fit means for me that accessing the pockets requires more effort--which I don't really like. One thing I've noticed about more expensive jerseys is that it's easier to adjust the zipper with one hand and this didn't seem to a problem with the full length zipper here either.

No idea if the longevity of the jersey will match my collection of carbon fiber woven ones. I think it does feel like high quality, but if you're one a group ride an not really fit you might be self conscious about the fit--comfortable, but somewhat revealing. I don't have one, but I've heard the "1976" jersey line conforms more to the "club cut" ideal.

I think I like this jersey and it worked very well for me yesterday, but it's not going to be a "go-to" everyday one for me.
