Description

TRS Race SL Carbon Boost Wheel

We ask a lot out of our trail and all-mountain wheelsets. They must be light, stiff, and hold up to repeated abuse over natural terrain as well as in the park. Thankfully brands like e*thirteen exist and it's full of likeminded riders and engineers who also agree. So if you're in the market for a wheel upgrade or are picking out some hoops for that dream build, have a look at the 27.5-inch TRS Race SL Carbon Boost Wheel and you'll experience a sublime ride that's come courteous of a lower rotational weight, contributing to easier climbing and more intuitive handling without sacrificing the strength or durability a modern trail rider is after. These Race SL wheels come in at some 150 grams lighter than the enduro going TRSr so you'll have no problem pedaling them up to your favorite trails.

The front and rear hubs are constructed from lightweight aluminum and feature machined shells and flanges that build up a very stiff wheel that reacts quickly to your inputs and changes lines quickly on the trail. These wheels are a favorite in reviews and wheel shootouts and have been proven in the most demanding terrain under aggressive riders while benefiting from a healthy dose of feedback from World Cup DH legend Aaron Gwin. The TRS Race SL Carbon is an ally on those epic backcountry rides with plenty of pedaling and climbing while keeping you in total control as you pin it on the way down knowing that e*thirteen has your back with its lifetime warranty.

Inside the Boost width hubs are angular contact bearings that spin freely, hold up well against the elements, and are better able to cope with lateral forces than standard cartridge bearings, thus lasting longer. You'll quickly appreciate the lightning-fast engaging 660 freehub with its three pawls positively engaging the 60-point drive ring for quick accelerations and instantly getting back on the gas out of the corners, on the climbs, and in technical trail situations. Lacing those hubs up to the TRS SL carbon, tubeless ready rims are custom drawn, triple-butted spokes made by its in-house brand The Hive, and alloy nipples. The hookless profile rims ease tubeless inflation and reduce burping while featuring a 28mm internal width that’s ideal for quick rolling rubber between 2.1 and 2.4-inches wide and it comes pre-taped and with valves installed for easy tubeless setup. The wheels also come with extra spokes, nipples, and washers to get you going again if you are riding or racing far away from a shop. The wheels come with 6-bolt rotor mount hubs and Boost spacing. Choose between Shimano HG or SRAM XD drivers.
