GE1 Evo Grips
Ergon developed the GE1 Evo Grips for those who prefer a more traditional grip, and plan to run them on wider riser bars typical on the enduro circuit. The GE1 Evo is the evolution of the popular GE1 refined by feedback collected from professional riders. It actively supports the correct torso and forearm position for when the trail points down and because the grip is rotated towards the steering axis by 8-percent, elbows are automatically up and in the attack position.
Compared to the standard GE1, the surface texture is even more aggressive and the rubber compound is softer providing optimal grip without having to white-knuckle the bars. A forged inner clamp holds the grips securely to the bars (carbon approved) regardless of how wet it is out or how recently you installed them. The integrated grip end is connected to the inner core for a soft grip end that’s comfortable for your hands even on the extreme ends of the bar. Careful attention was placed on reducing pressure on the ulnar nerve, which is located on the outside hand, reducing hand numbness.
The Ergon GE1 Evo Grips come in four colors: Red, Blue, Yellow, and Black, and in two sizes Regular (32mm) and Slim (30mm).
- Lock-on grips for performance-minded riders
- Improved texture increases grip
- Places rider in an aggressive position for better control
- Inner core allows for a soft end of the grip
- Optimized for wide, riser handlebars

Comfy, but not durable
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Fit:
- True to size
I love the feel of these grips, but within a few rides the end cap has completely broken (without any crashes, etc), and the end of the grip is torn off. Bummer, I wouldn't recommend these.

Get a Grip on it
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Fit:
- True to size
The grips are comfortable and the color matches my Ibis Ripmo perfectly. Most recently I rode the CAMBA trails (Northern WI) in hot humid July weather and could only ride without gloves for a short period of time before my sweaty hands were starting to slip. Once I put my gloves on it was time to get rowdy and send it again. If you ride without gloves consistently you may want to check out the factory version. These are good for me since it doesn't stay hot and humid for long here and I generally wear light gloves most of the riding season.

Super Grips
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
These are SUPER grippy, and do have a nice ergonomic feel in hand. Im coming off of the ESI foam grips which are still probably my favorite grips of all time, but I shred them immediately it seems like, and they are almost impossible to move from bike to bike. These are solid, durable, and feel great.
