Twin peaks of adjustability.

Even so subtle a change as new shoes can affect your cockpit setup, as a thicker or thinner sole means your pedal force is being applied from a slightly different angle. For cyclists who tailor their fit for each individual discipline and event, the adjustability and carbon construction expertise that ENVE builds in to the Twin Bolt Seatpost means it's strong and light enough for road and trail, easy to install, and intuitive to adjust via the titular Twin Link hardware.

The Twin Link mechanism itself comprises two bolts that govern the movement of two wedges, which are twin peaks of adjustability that lock your saddle in place with a 0 to 27 degree range of tilt. The mechanism doesn’t require tortured angling with a wrench to reach under the saddle where Allen keys fear to tread. Rather, the bolts are on either side of the clamp, sitting well below the saddle rails so you can adjust them with your preferred tool. For kit this nice — not to mention to protect carbon rails — we recommend the reliable restraint of a torque wrench.

Bolts come loose

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This post looks good and feels really good. It’s nice and light. The bolts tend to come loose easily, however, which is a real pain, and the material is surprisingly soft so they might start to deform if you then have to constantly tighten them. I’ve thought of dumping it for something else on my hardtail but have been too lazy. I’d recommend using lock-tite or similar on the bolts or else this quite expensive post may prove to be annoying even in the short term.

hi, The Enve 25.4mm Twin Bolt Seatpost - 25mm Offset is 400mm long?

Hi Nicholas, this seatpost is 400mm in length.

looking to get a saddle to go with this - i usually ride a fzik antares, but i am keen on the scoop pro shallow - a lot of people say some saddles are hard to fit to this post - any ideas, comments welcome.

Hello Suspence, saddle rails for the most part are a set size, shape and distance and as such will work in any seat post clamping system. Some carbon rails can be a little unique however I have not heard of any such issues of it not working correctly.

Carbon Flex

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Call me old school but I still ride a hard tail,,,,this post has ample amount of flex to give that supple ride quality when you are in the saddle. Incredibly strong clamping system. Great saddle post.

Very unique engineering.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought this seat post for my wife's new Calfee and I am really impressed with the build quality. the adjustment of the seat clap is a little odd, but once you figure it out it makes sense and holds it's position very well. One thing I am a little sad about is that I had to cut off a considerable amount that was not needed as this was for a road bike and once the seat height was set i didn't need the extra length.

Great seatpost

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I wanted to upgrade the seat post on my fat bike since everything else is carbon, and I wanted greater compliance in the ride. I have used other Enve products and found them to have excellent quality and performance; this post is no exception. Easier to install than I expected and adjusts easily even though the clamp seems a bit complicated. Good addition to the bike.

Even worse than the first Enve post

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

They managed to make the saddle clamp even more convoluted and ridiculous than their first design. The two wedges have to both hold the saddle in place and permit adjustment. In my situation, a plain 7mm rail configuration using the 7mm clamp supplied, I was given a choice of the saddle being fixed in one place or angled the way I like it, but not both. The bolts rounded off immediately (even using a torque wrench). Then replacement bolts also rounded off. One wedge was so hopelessly stuck that I had to saw it apart to recover my custom saddle. I will admit that severing the head off this vile monster was satisfying.

I'm a Shimano guy, but all reasonable people know that the single-bolt Campagnolo post they stopped making for whatever reason was the pinnacle of seatpost design. That it's [current year] and I have to use garbage like this is infuriating. Screw you, Enve.

Even worse than the first Enve post

Sounds about right. These are a royal pain to install. Easily the worst clamp design I've seen on any seatpost I've had.

A great upgrade.

It's exactly what you'd expect from Enve-- a great looking seatpost of exceptional quality. It is noticeably light. My 27.2mm version is forgiving as well. The two-bolt clamp feature is simple and elegant. Overall, a great option and almost certainly an upgrade from what you're riding now.

ENVE twin bolt seat post

I had some crazy annoying squeaking going on with my saddle and my LBS mechanic said it was my new post (not the ENVE). So I decided to step up to ENVE post and was happy to NOT hear anything after installing it. Easy to set up and looks AMAZING!

Pleasure to Look at, Pleasure to Ride.

The Enve Twin Bold Seatpost combines sleek aesthetics with easy installation and adjustment as much as any seatpost I've used. It also rides exceptionally well. Most of my prior experience is with aluminum posts or lesser carbon posts. The Enve post takes the edge off impacts and reduces shock to my body and feels noticeably light as well.
